-Franks POV-
Dad drove me over to Rays house around noon on Saturday as planned. Me was happy when I came home and told him about making friend on the first day, that was new to both of us.
Mikey, Gerard, and Ray where outside when I got there with dad, Mikey had his bass in the case in his back, Gerard had his backpack with him. It's clear they just got here.
Ray waved at the car, Gerard turned and waved as well, Mikey followed suit not long after. "Have fun, Frank. Your friends look nice, can't wait to meet them." I thanked him, then got out of the car to meet everyone on the porch.
"Frank, hey just in time dude. Mikey and Gee got here a few minutes ago, what do you guys wanna do first?" Ray led us inside his house, the front room was cozy and decorated with neutral colors. It's homey and nice, it seems to fit in with Rays personality.
"I like the place Ray, it's homey and welcoming."
"Yeah, I do too, and I'm glad you agree. You guys wanna play Mario cart or something?"
"Do you have MineCraft?" Mikey questioned. We ended up creating a world and playing factions for an hour or two before Gee brought up the time.
"Hey, anyone else hungry? I'll order pizza if you want." Gee looked at each of us in turn, a smile on his face.
"Nah dude, let me, my treat." Ray contradicted him.
"Alright fine, but next hangout is at my place and I'm treating." A fair compromise, if you ask me. Ray got up to order the pizza, leaving the three of us to conversation amounted ourselves.
He'd paused the game and had his controller with him, possibly because of something Mikey had pulled in the past. Ray had told us story's of how he did that sometimes when the two of them got together before, the thought brought a smile to my face.
"What's got you smiling to much, Frank?" Gee turned his attention fully to me, Mikey turned his head to look at me as well.
"Just thinking of some of the stories Ray was telling last night, he's a good story teller."
"Yeah, he is. His stories are accurate, and I truly did trap him in a ravine once." Mikey smirked before continuing. "And I would do it again."
"I think that's why he took the controller with him, Mikes." The three of us all laughed a bit, Ray returned to it.
"Wait what's so funny? What did you guys do-"
"Mikey said he'd trap you in the ravine again, and Gee made a comment and not we're all laughing for some reason." My explanation wasn't the best, but it was an explanation.
"Oh ha ha, very funny. Mikey I swear if you do..." Ray couldn't stay serious either, a wide dorky smile spread across his face.
"Pizzas gonna be here in about 20 minutes. Let's shut off the game in the meantime so we can eat when it gets here."
At that moment, another figure joined us in the room. Rays mom peeked her head in, smiling. "Hello Mikey, I'm guessing this is your brother and friend?" Mikey nodded, pointing to Gerard. "He's my brother, this is Frank." He pointed to me, introducing us.
Rays mom walked over to us, shaking Gerard's hand, then mine. "Nice to meet you both, I'm Rays mom but that's obvious. I came down to see what all the laughing is about, I'm glad your having a good time."
Ray was in the process of turning off the PlayStation as his mom made her introductions. "I'll leave you boys to whatever it is boys do, Ray your dad is coming in soon, make sure there's no pizza left for him." Ray shared a smirk with his mom, I love how his family runs.
The pizza arrived a while later, we ate and talked and joked and laughed when it did.
"Gee, Mikey said you two write a bit of music, can I hear a bit of it?" I asked the question after we had all finished eating out pizza. Once more we sat in our almost circle of conversation.
"Yeah, as long as you and Ray play also." Mikey got up to get his bass, he brought over my guitar case as well as Rays. Gee sat and watched the three of us.
In the meantime, pansy sat in front of me in the case. I opened it, revealing my favorite guitar, then pulled it out. I strummed a few cords, she was still tuned just as I'd left her.
"Oh hey, cool guitar Frank, is that Pansy?" Gee asked me an obvious question. Fluorescent stickers crossed the bottom of the guitar, spelling out Pansy. "Yep, a beauty isn't she?" Gee nodded.
Mike and Ray finished up with their guitars, Mikey and Gee where the first to play. Then Ray played for us, he truly was the one and only guitar god. Last was me, I played the notes of the song I was working on. Those same notes had been played so many times prior that they where basically engraved in my brain.
There's still something missing from it though, but I can't tell what it is, other than lyrics. "Dude, your good." Ray was the first to comment after I stopped. "Yeah, I've been working on that for a while, but there's still something missing from it, other than lyrics I mean. I can't tell what though..."
"It's up to you, but maybe we could help you with it?" Gee's offer was one I couldn't pass up, if it meant more time I could spend with him. I knew I couldn't say anything, but I felt closer to him than I should, seeing as we just met. I couldn't help but smile when I saw him, and being able to be with him was amazing to me.
"Yeah, that would be great! Maybe like a group project or something."
"If your open to it, maybe we could go farther than that. Gerard and I have music that we wrote that could use some work, and with Ray. Maybe we could make this a band or something, I don't know it's up to you guys." Mikey offered.
"Dude that would be awesome, I've always wanted to start a band but I had no idea how, that's a great idea." Ray responded. Gee took a second, before responding too.
"Yeah, sure I'm down. That would be cool, doing what I love with my best friends. Frank?"
My fingers tapped the guitar in my lap, a subconscious habit of mine that I did when I was thinking. "Sure, but what would we call ourselves?" This question sent everyone into thinking mode.
"Wait, hold on there's thing I saw in the back of a book once, something romance."
"12 tales of Chemical Romance you mean?" Gerard asked.
"Yeah, that. Maybe we could be My Chemical Romance."
"Whoa... dude that's good, like really good." The four of us decided on that name, it was cool and powerful and kinda edgy at the same time. But most off, it's memorable.
"Alright then, I guess it's decided, let's go with that." The decision had been made, and Gerard's words made it final.
