Annika went to the terrace.
She let the soft breeze touch her face.
She let her hair sway openly, dance with the wind.
She closed her eyes, letting herself feel the beauty of nothingness.
This free air may give sanity to her racing heart, she thought.
She did have a heart, and she had to acknowledge it's presence today.

She fell on her knees, dejected.
Dejected from him, he betrayed her.
Dejected from herself, for letting herself feel betrayed from him.
Dejected to give him to liberty of controlling her feelings.

' Feelings'
The very word she had seperated from, from ages, had now aroused cause of him.
Why did she even open her door of feelings?
Why did she want him to prove her wrong, to prove he wasn't betrayer.
She felt despair, despair of having been proved right.

Her shoulders fell, body curled up, out of exhaustion.
Exhaustion of feeling so many emotions in a single day.
It was strange for her, she hadn't been friendly with the term 'emotions' from years.
And now when she is facing a myriad of emotions, she doesn't know how to react.
She had forgotten the art of expressing emotions.

It was the day when she lost her dad.
She felt the pain of losing him, she felt the emptiness in her life.
She felt anger arise in her, he tried to play a game with her.
She felt dissapointment, he broke her trust, the trust he never gained.

In these myriad of emotions, the only thing she didn't feel was happiness.
So she laughed, she laughed her heart out!
That's the way, she thought, she could get rid of her emotions.
To her surprise, laughing didn't help.
Instead she started feeling burdened, burdened of that fist sized organ.

Shivaay entered the office, and looked around for her.
Her belongings were still in the cabin, which means she is still here.
Where could she be?
When he couldn't find Annika, he thought to ask about her to the security guard.

" I saw madam going towards the terrace" the security guard replied.

Annika was sitting there, defeated from herself, when she heard the sound of someone's footsteps.
She looked around to see shivaay standing there.

" Umm..actually ...I..I forgot my phone here ya, so I came to take it"
Shivaay said and pretended to look for his apparently lost phone.

Annika turned around to get lost in her thoughts again.

Shivaay came and sat near her, which Annika didn't realise.
He started at her for few minutes.
He saw a smile on her face.

" I think you should cry"
Shivaay said.

" Huh " Annika replied, questioning him.

" I feel you need to cry. It's evident from your face"

Annika felt surprised, when she herself couldn't guage her emotions, how did he do that?
She didn't even know how to express, how to react.
She was smiling out of pain but he could know her feelings?

She was confused as she was supposed to feel angry on him, insult him, be vengeful.
Here she was feeling peaceful on his presence.
Annika gave up on her confusion, she already had too many emotions to deal with, it was getting very exhaustive.

Annika looked down and muttered softly
" I...I don't know how to cry"

He didn't know how to give love, she didn't know how to receive love.

Shivaay gulped.
He was the worst person to be with in such cases.
People usually need a shoulder to lean upon, but he can't be one.

He looked at her face again.
He couldn't leave her alone in this struggle.
He couldn't let her feel suffocated by her own emotions.

He brought his shivering  hand near her hand, reducing the distance.
He closed his eyes, he had to do this.
Slowly, the pinky finger of his hand touched the pinky finger of her hand.

He was expecting the abnormal reactions of his body over the touch.
But to his surprise, he felt relaxed.
He felt relaxed not only physically, but mentally too.
It was a completely new experience for him.
Gaining a little confidence on himself, shivaay interwined his pinky finger with her pinky finger.

Annika looked at him.
She looked at his eyes.
They were beautifully blue.

He was the reason of her distress.
He was the cause behind all the burdern she felt.
He had gifted her emptiness.
He made her feel exhausted.

But now, when she looked into his eyes.
She felt he was the only anchor of her ship.
He was the sanity to all her turmoils.
It just felt right.
May be she knew somewhere, he felt the same emptiness. He knew the impact of the loss.
She felt a relation of empathy with him.

Unknowingly, a tear fell from her eye, she didn't even blink.
When she realised the salty water gracing her skin, she put a finger over her cheeks, and saw the pearl like tear on it.
She stared at that tear.
It was the first let out of her emotions in all those years.

Shivaay saw tears fall from her eyes. He felt something piercing his heart.
But he knew he had to let her cry.
He smiled, realising she did have a heart.

Shivaay didn't know from where he got the courage, but he put his hand over her head, softly, and started caressing her hairs.

With this, more tears started to fall from her eyes and she leaned on his shoulders.
She leaned on the shoulders of the Enemy.

He put his arms around her back, pulled her closer.
While she snaked her arms on his waist, reducing the remaining distance.

She could hear his heartbeat, as she snuggled closer to his chest.
How soothing was the rhythm of his heart?
She felt alive.

He rested his cheeks over her head.
He never knew that touch could be so relaxing.
Yes, he didn't get scared of Mishra's or Anshi's touch, they did have a calming impact on his body.
But today he felt mentally strengthened by someone's touch.
Today, he lived with a companion better than loneliness.
For the first time, he wanted to see the light beyond the darkness.

They stayed in this position, as the smooth breeze touched their body, providing unknown satisfaction.
On the very day they lost everything, they received the feeling of contentment.
