I didn't regret helping her.

Even if I got hurt or not, I knew I should help during that time. There must be something wrong with the way of approaching her that time, causing her to spray me with whatever thing that is that hurt my eye. While I was in the hospital, I really tried to think what went wrong in approaching her. Maybe I scared her. I felt guilty that time. So I decided to say sorry to her once her nosebleed stops. Moments later, a nurse approached me, bringing an eye patch. Great. Just great.

"Is it really that bad?" I asked, looking at the eye patch.

"Well, it appears that it was pepper spray that hit your eye." The middle-aged nurse smiled while putting on the eye patch, "But don't worry, it will only be a matter of three days. Afterwards, you're back to normal. You can take it off."

"Thank you ma'am nurse." I smiled.

"You're welcome. By the way, I saw the girl that sprayed pepper spray on you. You're both cute together." She whispered as we giggled and she left. The nurse was a warming person, like she's my mother.

As the nurse left, I saw the girl across from me on the bench. I was glad her nosebleed was gone, yet she still needs monitoring in case her nose bleeds again. We looked at each other for a while then looked at the ground. I then took a deep breath, this is it. I'm saying sorry to her.

I then looked at her, just as she instantly looked down on the ground. I smirked at the fact that she might be staring at me for a while. As I looked at her, I finally took in what she looked like. Last time in the museum, I only saw what she looked like from her side angle. Now, I get to see more than that. She's actually pretty, with her green eyes, like mine. She looked fierce; fierce yet kind. She looked kinda pissed at the moment though, causing me to look at the ground in guilt.

"Sorry." We mumbled at the same time, causing us to look up and look at each other.

I started, "I didn't mean to.... Scare you."

"Sorry for spraying pepper spray on you." She mumbled as well.

My mind somehow smiled in relief. Thank God she didn't kill me or something.

"For the record, it actually stings. I'm actually impressed by your DIY." I said.

"How do you know I made it?"

"Spray bottle?" I smiled, "So....we both owe an apology with each other. Apology with a twist."

"Excuse me?"

"It's just.... It's nice to have a fellow foreigner around you know."

"And what has got to do with apology with a twist?"

"Well...uh...Misa de Gallo is fast approaching. It's a Christmas Novena Mass in the Philippines. And I uh....I need a companion for you know... Those 9 nights. I was thinking, maybe you could be... you know, my companion." I said, trying to be less of a stuttering mess, but failed. I studied about the Filipino way of celebrating Christmas, since they have the longest season of Christmas. And Misa de Gallo caught my attention. I have to complete it, for they say that if you complete the nine night novena, your wishes will come true.

"What?" She was surprised.

"Just nine nights, starting tomorrow. We can also go elsewhere so that you can go on vacation at the same time and I can accompany you since I owe you an apology too. Please...." I pleaded, causing her to sigh.

She rolled her eyes at me, "Fine."

I smiled, "Perfect." I then approached towards her and reached out my hand for her to shake, "By the way, I'm Michael Clifford. People call me Mikey."

She then took my hand and shook it, "Flo. Short for Florence Pugh."

Sweet.

I smiled, "Nice to meet you Flo." Afterwards, I sat back to my bench. I was under monitoring too. Which is why I didn't leave the hospital for hours. I stayed awake while Flo slept on the bench using her coat as a pillow. Occasionally, her hair would cover her face, and I would approach her, carefully tucking her hair behind her ear just to not cover her face.

Hours later, the nurse came back, "You guys are now discharged. You can go now."

I then looked at the clock. It's already 4am and we can still catch up on the Misa de Gallo, "Cool. Thank you." I then approached Flo and woke her up.

"Wake up Flo."

She then rose up from the bench, "WHAT?"

Oops. Sorry.

"Nurse said that we're okay now." I grinned.

"What time is it?" She groaned.

"Uh, 4am.... Misa de Gallo time. Let's go to church together."

"First of all, WHAT THE FUCK! How did I sleep that long here? And second, hell n-"

"Please.... Remember we owe each other an apology." I pleaded again.

She groaned, "Fine." I smiled at her answer.

Moments later, we were at the church. I listened to the choir singing wonderful Christmas songs and the priest saying wonderful homily. Instead of being sleepy at the church, I ended up being fully awake. I hope Flo is energetic with the mass as well.
