After breakfast, we toured Heaven's Peak for a while before going to the barangay proper. The walk going there is very exciting. I can't wait to see the children again. As we arrived, Lex called the children saying I'm here. I saw lots of children running towards me. I immediately crouched down and opened my arms as wide as possible to hug the group of children who were excited to see me as well.
"Hi kids." I shouted.
"Kuya Michael!!! (Older brother Michael!!!)"
"Miss ka na po naming kuya (We miss you older brother)." They said in unison, causing me to smile. I then turned to Flo who was talking with Mama Nene and pulled away from them.
"Kids, this is Ate Flo. She's a cool girl and a good friend."
"Hi Ate Flo." The kids said in unison, causing her to giggle.
"Hi kids." She waved at them.
"Kuya Michael," a young boy said, carrying a guitar that has almost the same size as his body, and handed it to me, "please play and sing."
"Of course." I smiled as I started strumming the guitar and played songs, singing songs from different genres. Sooner, I asked the children to sing along as well.
Hours later, Mama Nene called everyone for snacks. I then stopped playing the guitar and went with the children to the table. I was supposed to have snacks with Mama Nene, Lex, and Flo. But the children told me to have snacks with them. I then agreed, telling them jokes and funny stories making them laugh. Moments later, I saw everyone eating their snacks, except for one person.
"Flo, you should eat." I carried the guitar and brought her a sandwich as I approached her.
"It's okay Mikey." She smiled, "I'm not hungry."
"I'm not letting you go on that one. Say 'ahhh'." I said as I told her to open her mouth.
"It's really fine Mikey-"
I poked her, causing her to laugh, "Fine, okay. Just-"
"Say 'ahhh'."
She giggled, "Nope." She said as she took the sandwich from my hand, "I hate spoon feeding, thank you." Sooner, a kid called Flo to eat with them. Flo then smiled at me and went to eat with the children.
"HOY! (HEY!)" Lex shouted, surprising me.
I then brought my hand to my chest and sighed, "Jesus Lex." I mumbled.
"Mama Nene said stop looking at Flo."
"What?" I said as I blushed in embarrassment.
"Mama Nene saw you staring at her. Just take a picture, it'll last longer."
"Lex-"
"You're blushing." He gasped, "You have a crush."
"I don't-"
"Miguel-"
"I admire her." I sigh.
Lex then laughed and tapped me on the shoulder, "Don't worry Miguel, it's just a crush." He then whispered words that would surprise me about Flo, again, "In fact, Flo's have a crush on you too."
"Really?"
"Sana all (I hope all)." Lex said, rolling my eyes as he said the popular Filipino phrase.
After snack time, I went back to playing the guitar and sang more songs. I then took a chair and told the kids to sit on the ground while I sing songs for them. I even kicked it up the notch when I sang made-up tales for them and sang the songs I composed years ago.
Hours later, I realized as I keep having my so called mini-concert to the kids, I noticed that there were only half the audience left, mostly boys. I then heard girls shouting and laughing loud moments later. I then looked up and saw a group of girls gathered together, playing a sort of dance game. They were all wearing crowns and jewelries made of flowers. Moments later, after twirling and holding hands while dancing around, they performed a chant and clapped their hands. Then Flo entered in the middle of the circle with a flower crown, dancing hula and Macarena. She then smiled with the widest smile she ever gave as she twirled and laughed with the children. I saw the squint in her eyes, the flow of her hair.
In that moment there, I was awestruck in her beauty. I suddenly had the thought of taking her out, maybe go on a date.
My thoughts were cut when she looked at me and grinned, sending me a wave. I smiled back and waved a bit as I strummed my guitar.
Finally, lunchtime came and Flo and I took lunch and left, saying goodbye to the kids. We then went back to the hotel. As we arrived:
"You know, we just played the Sisira ang Bulaklak game with the young girls and I was queen like multiple times. We also made flower bracelets, necklaces, crowns, and it was awesome. We were like princesses." I laughed as Flo narrated what she did with the young girls earlier, "Then I met Emma and her sister Elsa, Emily, Diane and just a lot of girls."
"You're really having fun." I laughed, "I told you it's fun."
"I really hope that we can go back there Mikey."
She smiled, causing me to sigh. She's just too beautiful, "Don't worry. We'll find a way to meet them again soon." I placed my hands in my jean pockets and smiled, controlling myself not to kiss her or hold her hand. I feel like a creep right now.
I then escorted her to the door of her hotel room. She turned to me and smiled. All of a sudden, she kissed me on the cheek, causing everything else to stop.
Woah.
"I really had fun Mikey. I really do. Thank you."
"Anytime." I smiled. Keep it together Mikey.
"See you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow." I smiled and went to my hotel room. As I went there, I decided not to take her anywhere tonight. Instead, I'll take her tomorrow night. I tried to have a nap. But I couldn't. Flo surprised me big time earlier. I never thought I would be caught off guard by her. I never thought I could be trapped in her trance. I tried to get my guitar and play a song but failed multiple time, thoughts of Flo running through my mind.
She's making me crazy. But I like it.
I like her.
