I went to the Ruins and was dumbfounded by the beauty. No wonder Mama Nene wanted a photo of the old building. I looked around me and saw huge flower gardens, family, friends, lovers, just a lot of people looking forward to celebrate New Year here.

I then went at the water fountain and took a photo of it. I then sat down to a bench nearby and saw someone at the flower garden.

It was Flo, wearing a white Sunday dress.

She was busy taking a photo with the places in the Ruins. She's absolutely stunning as well. Still, there's a part of me that wanted to go near her. But I can't.

Moments later, I saw her looking at the front of the Ruin. I then remembered the time we first met. Ormoc Museum. Where she was reading a part of history. It was a sign that I should go and meet her, get her back if I can.

I then walked towards her until I was by her side.

"Most people here said that this place was made out of love, like Taj Mahal." I smiled, "I could remember when we were in the museum in Ormoc. Your nose was bleeding and you said 'shit'."

"Yeah." She giggled and whispered, "We were exactly like this."

I was on the verge of hugging her. I can't believe she's okay this time.

"At least your nose's not bleeding anymore."

"Yeah. This time I have a wound." She said, referring to her wound. I then looked at it and it was bandaged. It's on the process of healing currently.

"Is it fine already?"

"Somehow yeah."

"So Bacolod's your last place huh?"

She nodded, "You too. It seems."

"I heard it's an amazing place." I said as she nodded again, "I should get going." I was about to go to the other side of the Ruin until...

"Is it true?" She asked. I then turned to face her.

"What?"

"You went to Mama Nene and Lex before you left... And asked them... to look after me?"

"Yeah. Yeah I did."

"Why?" She asked as tears are about to roll down her cheeks.

I decided to tell her the truth, "Because... I told you before. No hurt can't replace-"

"The way I love you." She whispered as her tears rolled down.

"I couldn't leave you all alone Flo. I just couldn't. Even when I left, I made sure I have eyes and ears in Ormoc just for you. There's not a single moment that I don't think about you while coming here."

"Mike, look, I'm sorry for hurting you. I shouldn't have done that, knowing that you cared for me. I should have trusted you and not push you away. I should have kept you."

"It's okay Flo. I'll still be here no matter what. If you need me, you can ask me."

"No."

My eyebrows etched in confusion and hurt somehow latched in me, "What do you mean no?"

But her reply made me so happy. Just when I thought I lost her, she was actually holding on. Holding on to us.

"No Michael. I want you back. I want you to be in my life. I want the memories of our 9 days and nights back. I want the promises fixed again. I want the love back." She cried then whispered, "Can I have you back again Mikey?"

For a long while, I did not answer. I did not answer because I was surprised to find out that I always had her. I thought that during that time, I lost her. But I didn't. I then showed her that she always had me too. I suddenly went near her, grabbed her waist, drawing her close to me while my other hand cupped her cheek and slowly wiped the tears away. I then kissed her with a warm and loving kiss. I kissed her like I was making a statement, that I'm always hers. Afterwards, we let go and I hugged her tight.

"I never said I'm no longer yours babe. You always have me." I said softly.

"You forgive me?"

"Of course, I'll always forgive you." We then leaned our foreheads against each other and I sighed, "Just don't do the New Zealand thing."

"I just wanna tour there." She sighed as well.

"That's why I bought a ticket there. So that I'll be with you."

"Awesome." She whispered as we both smiled. Then the countdown began. When the clock finally struck 12, Flo and I kissed again.

"Happy New Year Flo."

"Happy New Year Mikey."

When the fireworks show started, we both took out our phones and took a picture.

"Mama Nene will love this." We both exclaimed at the same time.

"She planned this out for us, didn't she?" I said as we laughed, "What a wicked woman."
