For the whole day, I did nothing but rest, have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, watch TV, and play games in my phone or listen to music and play my guitar. I really tried to be lazy and give my body energy for later. When evening came, I prepared and went out of my room at 9pm. Of course, I went to Flo's room and saw her. Of course, she locked the door and walked right ahead again. And I know what I should do: run up to her.
We have the silent travel again for minutes until we reached a pineapple plantation. This is one of Ormoc City's tourist spots. This is where Queen Pineapples are harvested, which for the record were one of the most delicious pineapples I've tasted so far. Though the place is dimly lit tonight, I still figured it's a beautiful place I can bring Flo with. I then looked for a place where there is a street light. I then set a blanket on the ground and we sat, looking at the night sky.
"You sure you're not a murderer or something?" She asked, causing me to laugh.
"Of course not. We're here because it's one of the most interesting places in Ormoc and because I just bought a pineapple from this place. I prepared it ready to eat way back in the hotel so you should try it." I gave her the fruit and she ate it.
The night was nothing but us eating pineapples and being silent while looking at the night sky. But the silence here is quite eerie. I tried to sing to ease the creepy feeling.
".... I don't wanna say goodbye to another night, and watch you walk away.
I don't wanna let it burn in the city lights, and make the same mistakes. This time,
I don't wanna waste, I don't wanna waste it. I don't wanna waste, I don't wanna waste it.
I don't wanna waste, I don't wanna waste the night."
I was about to continue when...
"I didn't know you could sing." I turned to see her looking at me.
"Umm... yeah. I sing when I'm quite bored. Sorry about it, I'll stop-"
"First of all, you're rambling. Second of all, just sing. At least it lessens the creepy aura of this place."
Yep. It's indeed creepy.
"The place is nice at daytime though. Problem is, not everyone can handle the sun like a pro. The heat stings here." I said as I continued singing and sang various songs. Sooner, I continued singing until I saw Flo beside me, who lied on the ground and slept.
I then took off my bag and gently lift Flo's head and place the bag in her head to use as pillow. I then gently tucked her hair away from her face.
"Good night friend." I whispered and smiled as I decided not to sleep and guard her through the night.
Hours later, a movement caused me to turn to Flo. I saw that she was already awake.
I smiled, "You're awake." I then looked at the time in my phone, "So... Misa de Gallo? Just somewhere nearby? It's almost Misa de Gallo time."
"You're awake this whole time?" She sighed, "You know what? Fine." She said as she rose up and we prepared to go to a church near the plantation. We then went to the church for mass and afterwards, we went to the hotel and rested.
