I woke up with the vibration of my phone. I then looked at the time and saw that it was already 4am. Shit, I overslept.
I then felt heavy, only to find Flo asleep, with her head on my chest and her arms around my neck. I then smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. Then I rubbed her back gently to wake her up, "Flo?" After a few attempts, she finally woke up and groaned.
"What time is it?"
"Misa de Gallo time."
She immediately rose up and fixed herself, "I'm... uh... sorry for crushing you." She mumbled.
"It's okay." I smiled, reassuring her, "You just need warmth for the breeze."
"Yeah, you're right. Thanks."
"No problem."
We then went to church for Misa de Gallo. But my thoughts were not with the mass. I'm running out of places to let her tour. As the mass ended, I decided to not tour tonight. Give tonight a break. After the mass, I walked her back to her hotel room.
"So I'll... see you tonight?" She said, looking at the ground then me.
"Uh... about that." I said, looking at the ground, "I'm running out of places that we can go to. I have this place though. But it's better if we go there during their feast day so we can join in the fun. So how about we just rest the day in the hotel but we'll still go to Misa de Gallo."
She nodded.
"So... see you tomorrow then." I said as I'm about to leave until...
"Uh, Mikey?" She said, causing me to stop and turn. Did she just call me Mikey? She called me by my nickname. This is nuts, "I'll uh... find a place that we can go to so that we can still see each other tonight."
"That sounds cool."
"So I'll see you ton-"
"I hope you call me by my nickname more often."
"Mikey?"
"Yeah. You just called me Mikey." I smiled.
"Alright." She mumbled.
"So, see you tonight Flo."
"See you tonight Mikey." She said as I left. I'm surprised by Flo tonight. There were just a lot of things that I just discovered about her. I then realized that she was indeed a cool girl. She's finally opening herself to me.
She's finally allowing me to be her friend.
And I couldn't be happier.
