After going to the CR, David and I went out for a while.
"Finally, some time away from them." David said as we laughed.
"I'm so happy for you and Sarah, like really."
"Thanks man." He smiled as I tapped his shoulder, "Sarah's the best girlfriend."
"Yep."
He then smirked, "You also got yourself a girl huh?"
"Yeah."
"Seems like you guys had a good time." He said as he pointed his neck, talking about Flo's hickey.
I laughed, "We almost did it yeah. But we decided not to."
"There's always a right time for that." He said as we smiled, "Now let's go. Before they go crazy."
We laughed as we soon returned inside and saw the girls having a good conversation. We were supposed to surprise them when we accidentally eavesdropped their conversation, and it's something I didn't expect.
"So since you and Michael are official, does that mean you won't go to New Zealand anymore?" Sarah asked Flo.
Flo will go to New Zealand?
"What do you mean?"
"You once told me when we were college remember? You'll go to New Zealand to kill yourself?"
She won't do it anymore. She promised.
"We were still college that time Sarah."
"Yeah. But I know you Flo. You would stick to your plans."
"Yeah. I will still go to New Zealand. But I'm not sure if I'm going to go with the plan I made way back college."
She's not sure? So she'll still do it? But she promised. Why will she do something like this? I wasn't able to control my lips from saying the words. I got too hurt that I didn't think of what to say ahead.
"So there's a chance that you'll still do it?"
Sarah and Flo looked up to me.
"Mike, it's not what you think. It's a long forgotten plan. We were college that time, come on." Sarah said, looking at me.
"It's alright Sarah." I walked out of the restaurant. I felt so... betrayed. Why would Flo have a plan like that? Why would she still pursue it even if I'm already around for her?
Was I not enough for her at all? Was I not enough for anybody's life at all?
