Youngjae woke up to the sound of rain pattering against his windows. The comfort of his white sheets, that were shined on by the rainbow essence seeping in through the windows reflection. His long pale fingers pulled the covers closer to him, enveloping himself in more comfort to enjoy his lazy Saturday.
He heard the clattering, and pattering of a tiny animal making it's way into his room, when Coco hopped onto the bed licking all over his face. Youngjae laughed as he patted the bed for her to lie down next to him. She scratched at the surface of the mattress, he white little paws; adjusting the comfort of her spot, until she plopped down next to him. He kissed her head smiling as his phone rang.
Grabbing his phone from his bedside dresser, he looked at the caller ID.
Jaebeom.
He smiled answering quickly,
Hi, good morning hyung, did you sleep well?
The other side of the line was quiet until Youngjae heard a soft sniffle. His smile dropped as he grew worrisome for why the older male was being so quiet.
Bummie, is everything okay?
Jaebeom closed his eyes; on the other side of the line, as the tears that brimmed in his eyes overflowed with him beginning to speak.
Youngjae can I come over? I want to be with you right now.
Youngjae clenched his fist slightly, feeling hurt at how sad Jaebeom's voice sounded. It was the tone of someone who hadn't spoken in days. He wanted to comfort the older, and help him go back to his happy place.
Of course you can hyung. I'll be waiting for you okay, i'll always be here.
Jaebeom held the phone away from his cheek as his tears continued falling down. He covered his mouth to contain the noises coming from sobs.
I'll be there soon. Thank you Youngjae.
With that Jaebeom hung up. Jaebeom put down his phone burying his head in his legs.
The day he first laid eyes on Youngjae, he could tell right away how bright of a person he was. The smile the younger had, that could light up a room filled with darkness. Almost like the way Rudolph's nose lights the way for Santa. The brightness of his smile lights up everything in the room that theres no space to feel anything else but happiness.
So why was he still in so much pain?
When Jaebeom arrived in front of Youngjae's apartment complex, he stood still as his legs felt almost numb. How was he going to tell this bright, happy, and wonderful person what had happened the other day?
The kiss was forced onto him from Jackson, but he did nothing to fight back. Jaebeom was mad at himself, that he allowed himself to feel any sort of feeling when Jackson's lips had met his own. He had just gotten close with Youngjae, and believed he was falling in love with him, but for this to happen. It was eating away at everything within him.
Every step he took leading to the front door of Youngjae's apartment, the memories of him and Jackson flooded his mind.
1st step; the moment they had first met, 2nd step; the day Jackson called Jaebeom his best friend, 3rd step; the day Jaebeom found out he liked Jackson, 4th step; the day Jaebeom instinctively kissed Jackson, 5th step; the day they became a couple, 6th step; Jackson saying he loved Jaebeom, 7th step; when they moved in together, 8th step; when they first made love, 9th step; Jaebeom catching Jackson cheating, 10th step; Jackson begging for forgiveness, 11th step; Jackson becoming friends with Youngjae, 11th step; Jaebeom warning Jackson to leave him alone, 12th step; Jackson saying he still loves him, 13th step; Jaebeom freezing at the touch of Jackson, 14th step; Jacksons lips against Jaebeoms as he cried, 15th step; Jaebeom running away with tears in his eyes.
