Chapter One

"Babe, can you bring my drink up for me, please?" I raised my voice slightly so that Sid could hear me down the hallway of my house. "It's just on the kitchen counter!" I added as I curled the very last bit of my hair.
"Yeah, babe. Do you need anything else?" Sid called back to me.
I ran my fingers through my curly hair to give them a loose more natural effect, "no that's all."
I lifted the red lip stick from the dressing table and reapplied the matte electric red on to my lips. "Hey baby, happy birthday!" My boyfriend, Sid greeted me with a kiss on the cheek from behind me.
"Did you get my drink?" I asked, not really taking much notice of him. I lifted my powder from the table and applied some from where he just kissed me.
"Yeah, I brought your presents too." He lifted the large gift bag up on to the dressing table and put it on top of it, causing my red lip stick to fall down on to the floor.
I sighed, "Sid, can you wait with the gifts? You can see that I am still doing my make up." I reached down and lifted my lip stick up off the floor and moved the bag down on to the floor. "Just wait until I'm finished." I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry babe. I just wanted you to open them. I know you're going to love them." Sid reached forward and took the gift bag from beside me. "You look beautiful." I looked in the mirror and saw him looking at me.
"Have you heard from the group, are they at the club already?" I stood from the dressing table and let my robe fall off my shoulders. "Because I'll be so angry if they aren't already there waiting for me to arrive, Sid. It's my twenty first birthday." I crossed my arms over my chest.
"The boys were just getting in the taxi when I got out the car, they sent me a picture. I've not heard from the girls." He glanced at his phone then stood up and walked to me.
I readjusted my red thong, "I can see it now. It will be Rebecca. She'll make something up so can make them all late. She won't want me to make my big entrance. She hates me, do I not always tell you this? She's going to sabotage my big night. She hates me!" I felt my flame in my stomach just talking about her.
Sid took one of my hands, "yeah babe. You always say she has something against you. Whilst you put your dress on I'll text Sophie and see if they've left. We won't leave till they are there so that you can get your big entrance."
He leaned in to kiss my lips, "babe, my lipstick!" I stepped back.
"I just wanted to give you a birthday kiss. I've missed you. Did you get the flowers I got delivered to your class?" Sid sat back down on the edge of the bed.
"Yeah, they're still in my car." I replied. I walked to my wardrobe and took out my brand new outfit. I took my time to get myself in to the red tight strapless bodycon dress. Sid's ringtone sound filled the room and I listened as I looked in the mirror.
I turned to the side and ruffled my long ginger hair. "You're there right now? Is the girls there?" Sid asked and my eyes darted to him. "Why are they so late? Liv asked them to be there for ten?" His eyes met mine, giving me a sympathetic look.
"Sid, call them now! Or get one of the boys to call them! What is going on!?" I was so angry. Everyone was out to ruin my big day.
"I'll send you a text when we are on our way. I'm going to call the girls." Sid said then hung up. He looked at me with a sympathetic expression, "I'm sorry, babe. I'm going to phone them now."
"I don't understand how hard it is! My big night. My brother has went out his way to make sure we had the VIP booth and they still can't show up on time." I ranted and reached down and took my thong off as you could see the line through my dress.
