"Anybody heard from Alei today?"

"I spoke to her this morning, why?" I looked at Evan.

"I wanna know what she got planned for that fine man of hers. Ain't today his birthday?" He smirked.

"Mhmm and that ain't your business." I pointed at him.

"Ugh. I'm gonna need yo man to come back quick because I'm bout tired of this bitter you."

"Excuse me?"

"Girl I'm for real. He need to come and 'hit em with that right, left' like YG say."

I couldn't help but laugh at Evan and his vulgar ways.

"You do see we got customers right?"

"OK and. I'm sure they get their backs blown out too. Well except Susie home maker over there." He pointed at a mature white lady.

"Ion know what she looking for up in here."

"Then go do your job and assist her."

"Uh Uh! I'm working the register today, that's Summer's job."

"Busy yourself E." I shook my head as I walked off to my office.

Entering, my phone began to right as it was on my desk. Seeing Devin's name, I smiled.

"Tell me you're home?"

"I'm home and missing my girl."

"Thank God. I've missed you too." I sighed and sat.

"Well you still got a couple hours before you see me." He laughed.

"That's not funny but at least you're in Atlanta."

"Yea and back to this fucking traffic."

"Just calm down babe. You know how it goes."

"Unfortunately. Anyway, what you up too?"

"Work, work and more work."

"You've missed me that much huh?"

"Yes plus the New York store been stressing me."

"Why? What's going on?"

"I had to increase security over there because my employees were complaining about some strange person just lingering around out front."

"What?"

"Yea and I've seen it myself too. Like he just comes and stands for a minute then paces back and forth before eventually leaving."

"When next you going out there?"

"Most likely this weekend. I don't want anything fucking with my money."

"I know babe and I'll go with you aight."

"Thank you. How is the traffic going?"

"Its moving slowly but from the looks of it, there was an accident."

"Oh. I hope no one was seriously injured."

"It just stopped again and me too."

Talking some more with Devin, he explained to me all that he was going to do and most of it involved sleeping in till I got off work.

"You know I'm the owner right?"

"I know." He laughed.

"Right so if I want, I can leave and come to you." I smirked.
