Alei
🎶We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year!🎶Singing along to the Christmas music that I was listening too, I was finally finishing wrap gifts to be placed below the tree.
"Swear I didn't know it was this much we had bought." I sighed.
Looking at all that was done so far, I still had some more to go. Pressing my phone for the time, seeing it was ten o'clock, I exhaled and stretched.
All of this would have been done sooner hadn't August just did as I had asked him too, which was watch the children while I was out.
When I got back home, of course I had to be greeted by not just any mess, but a powdered sugar mess. Gabe was on the counter in his carrier covered in it while the floor had what looked like snow angels.
"Baked and ate all them damn cookies by themselves." I mumbled as I tore piece of tape.
These past three months been a bit difficult but we were managing with it. As a family and as a couple, we were working on making sure our children for the most were happy.
"Finally!"
Looking over my shoulder, Aug appeared in the family room.
"He's asleep?"
"Yep!"
Sitting behind me, he began kissing on my neck, completely distracting me.
"Babe, stop. I really need to finish these." I shook him off.
"Ya can do that later baybeh. Daddy tryna get some sugar." He smirked.
"You had enough sugar for today and I told you stop saying that."
"Saying what? Daddy?"
"Yes. Now that you're an actual father, its not sexy anymore."
"Well damn." He scoffed. "And you need to let what happened today go."
"I asked you to do one thing." I held up my index finger. "Just one. And what do I get. A complete mess and my daughter high off sugar."
"Mirah was gone huh." He laughed. "You should have seen her face too when she threw up." He laughed.
"Its not funny." I shifted away from him.
"It actually is. Like she just stopped running and stared at me. My ass stood there confused till she brought it all up and then just laughed and ran off."
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.
"Weird just like her momma."
"Just shut up and help me finish these."
Pulling a gift and some paper, he helped me out.
"Our second Christmas together huh?"
"Yea." I nodded and smiled.
Looking up at him, I noticed he glanced and me and smiled. It was no doubt we were still intrigued by each other. We just let out ways come in at times and clash.
"Ya gon be alright tamorrow?"
"What you mean?" I looked at him.
"Ya know. With it being Christmas and our dau-"
"Babe don't please." I stopped him.
"My bad baybeh."
Nodding I went back to wrapping. Speaking about Alexis was still a sore topic and I tried not to because I still get emotional to this day.
