August

Finding a park, I got out instantly and ran up to the Emergency entrance. Looking around frantically, I paused and approached the nurse's desk.

"I'm looking for my girl Aleisha Edwards. I was told to come down here."

Looking up at me, she checked through the records and shook her head.

"We don't have a patient by that name. Are you sure its here?"

"Yes I'm sure. She was in a car accident and she's pregnant."

I was trying hard to stay calm but she was getting to me. Hearing the sounds of the doors open, I saw a couple nurses rushed past me.

Turning around, there she laid on the stretcher with her neck in a brace on a mask on her face as she was covered on blood.

"Baybeh!" I rushed over to her side. "Alei wake up babe."

"Sir I'm going to have to ask you to step back." A doctor instructed.

"That my girl, thats our baby!" I fought him.

"Sir please!"

Fighting to get to her, he called security over to restrain me. As they did so, Devin and Shay came in.

"Yung!" Dev called.

"Man she's just laying there." I broke down. "She ain't move nothing. I can't lose her man. I can't lose the both of them."

As I sat there, Shay just held me. The thought of not only losing our child but losing Alei was killing me. After everything we've been through and how we've been the past couple weeks, it couldn't end like this.

Its been a couple hours now since they've brought her in. Alei's mother and T showed up along with my brother and Jaz.

We hadn't gotten any word back yet on her condition and at this point it was driving me insane.

"What is taking them so long?" Her mother questioned.

"Aunty Monica, I need you to calm down." Shay spoke to her. "You know how your pressure is."

"I'm fine." She sighed.

Sitting off in the corner quietly, my mind raced. Thinking back on when I met Alei to when we first kissed to me fighting her daughta's father and that's when it hit me.

Despite how shit was, he needed to know about this.

"Shay?"

Giving me her attention, she came over to me.

"Wassup?"

"Let me use your phone real quick."

Nodding she handed it to me before I got up and walked outside. Scrolling through the contacts, I saw his name.

"Wassup Shay?" He answered.

"Nah man, this August."

"What happened? For you to be calling me and from her phone, I know something happened!" He got defensive.

"She got into a car accident man. We been at the hospital bout two hours now waiting to hear something."

The phone got instantly quiet after that.

"Ya heard me man?"

"Yea. Where's my daughter? Was she with her?"

"Nah she was in school but she with Alei's aunt now."
