Yeah, I know it took me awhile to write this. Was having some writer's block. Not sure if I really like this chapter though. But I hope that you all enjoy it. On the right, I've posted a trailer to this story. I know it's not the best video in the world, but I was bored and it's the best that I could do. Expect chapter 10 to be up sometime this week. Enjoy :)
My white and silver corset is tightly laced up, making it aganizing to walk from my room to Dimitri's office. Our conversation repeatedly plays around in my head. I can't help but feel a little bit sad, though. I think that I really hurt Dimitri. The look in his eyes suggested that he truely was sorry for hurting me like that and almost killing me. But my heart can't take anymore than it's already been through. I just paniced.
The door slowly creeks open as I push it, not really ready to see Dimitri face to face after our huge confrontation.
He doesn't look at me when I walk in and hands me a piece of paper as I walk up to his desk.
"Where am I supposed to find these rooms?" I ask as I look down at the list.
"You'll figure it out," he retorts.
"But I-"
"Candace," he interrupts. "Bring me a cup of coffee."
I fold my arms and glare at him.
He looks up at me and gives me a look as if I'm not supposed to be here. "You're dismissed."
"But Dimitri, I need to know-"
"Your duties, Corey."
My eyes tear up and I turn on my heels, slamming the doors as hard as I can behind me.
Glancing down at my list of duties, I stressfully run my fingers through my hair and begin my journey down the hall.
Even though Dimitri and I just got into an argument no longer than 20 minutes ago, I was trying to be professional and ask him a simple question. But being the arrogant asshole that he is, he just had to give me a hard time. So here I am, roaming down halls in search of the rooms that I'm supposed to clean.
Some guests stayed in the spare rooms at the castle after Dimitri's party last night. So now it's my job to clean up the bathrooms, put new sheets on the and bed and straighten up the rest of the room. But since this is my first time ever doing my duties, I have no idea where these rooms are. The paper in my hand only shows a list of seven room numbers. No indication of where they are. And this castle is huge. It'll take me hours to find one of them, and it's already 12:45. If I'm not done by four, who knows what Dimitri's gonna do to me?
My thoughts and I are so intertwined with each other that I manage to run into a rock hard surface. I stare into the eyes of Dimitri's brother, Daniel as I look up. He holds me by my arms because I started to stumble when I ran into him. His coarse hands on my skin sends a chilling sensation through my body. His hazel eyes have a cold and cruel look in them, as if he enjoys seeing other's pain. He smiles at me, but I can tell that it is not genuine.
"I was hoping to run into you again," he says. "No pun intended."
The smirk that crosses his face makes me want to gag. I jump when he takes my list of chores out of my hands.
"All of the guest rooms are on the second floor. Didn't Dimirti tell you?"
I shake my head. "He just told me to figure it out."
He shakes his head in shame. "Please for give my brother. He can be an asshole at times. But since my room is the first on your list and I was just on my way up there, how about I escort you?"
