I'm so over this damn quarantine... I know I should be writing more but I really don't feel like it so we're moving slow. I will try to update more regularly though so keep an eye out.

The 4-wheelers rumbled to a stop at the entrance of the giant enclosure.
"You must be the new recruit. Johnson right?" A man, which I deduced was Owen from the name tag sitting on his vest, asks. I nod, looking around.
"What all do you do here?" My question causes the man to chuckle as he turns to lead me through the halls.
"Why don't I just show you?" He asks, a glint in his eye, catches my attention. I shrug in agreement as he bends down to pick up a bucket of, what I assume to be, mice. My lips push together in a thin line as I watch Owen type a password into the gate. The raptor lounging by the fence perk up and for a moment I wonder if this man is going to be dino food. I press those thoughts from my head, slipping into the enclosure after Owen. "Blue, Delta, Charlie, Echo. Hey, Hey, hey. Eyes up here." Owen commands as 2 dinosaurs rush up to us.
"What gender are they?" I question, standing slightly behind him. I knew that this was what I signed up to do and it was the whole point of my job, that doesn't mean I wasn't scared. Owen tossed mice to the two of the raptors and they clamped their jaws down on it quickly. I took a step back making Owen clamp down on my wrist.
"Male. And you need to be here missy. They need to get used to you." I nod in acknowledgment of the fact. Fear still pinching my gut, I walk forward so I am just in line with Own himself. Blue lowered his head, a low growling noise sounding from his throat. Owen chuckles tossing the reptile a mouse. "That's enough, Blue."
Blue's POV
I watch the dainty human step forward in line with our Alpha. A deep rumbling noise sounding in my throat as I took her appearance in. Her slim figure and beautiful curves made my heartthrob, as I sat down to take the rest of her in. Alpha was still holding her wrist making my stomach twist with jealousy. I knew that I wanted the girl, but if Alpha had already claimed her as his mate, there would be very little I could do. Alpha tossed more food my way and I bend down to scoop it up in my jaws. Instead of eating it, I move forward toward Mate and Alpha. I only stop moving when a clicking sound erupts from Alpha. I drop the mouse in front of me and nudge it toward Mate.
"Move back, Blue. Move!" He urges. I growl loudly as he moves Mate behind him, blocking my sight of her small figure. Delta nips at my tail.
"Mine." He growls in a warning. I snarl, turning away from Alpha and Mate to rip into my brother. "She's mine." He declares, giving me a good show of his teeth. A clash of the gate turns our attention back to Mate and Alpha as Echo and Charlie finally decided to appear. We all notice Alpha and Mate behind the metal gate, keeping us separated. I whine lowly in my throat, moving towards them.
"Mate," I whine nudging the bars. Alpha pushes me away with his hand.
"Go Blue." He urges, and I snap at his fingers. Delta snarls and I realize my brothers were all standing near me.
"Give mate!" Delta demands, growling loudly, slamming his nose against the metal plating keeping us separated. Charlie watches in confusion, standing a few paces behind us and Echo seems entranced by something.
"mate..." He sighs, watching the human girl with a soft expression. Charlie looks between us in confusion before sighing as walking off to find a place to sunbathe. Alpha looks at us in confusion, trying to determine what it was that set us off. He seems to make a connection as he places his hand on Mate's wrist and our snarls light up the air again. He moves her forward as she stumbles resisting getting too close to us. Alpha whispers something to her and Mate steps forward, free of another man's touch. Purrs fill my throat as she comes within reaching range for herself. She was so close... If she just reached out and touched my nose... I purr louder, hearing my two brothers do the same. Delta slumps to the floor his tail beating the ground loudly as she brushes his nose with her fingers. I growl in jealousy as Alpha gasps in disbelief. I pounce on Delta snarling loudly. He turns his attentions to me in anger as I had made Mate stumble backward in fear away from us. Echo growls lowly trying to make her come back and warning us to be quiet.
"She's mine!" I growl, snapping at his neck.
"She likes me better!" He retaliates. I snarl louder scratching at him. A bloody smell fills the air as we fight against each other. Two pricks hit my neck as a whimpers ring in my ears. Delta, Echo and I turn to watch our mate as my vision before blurry. She presses a hand to her mouth in worry, tears filling her eyes as she looks at our bloodied states. The world tips and the three of us take steps to get closer to hear, ending up just pressing against the cage nosily. I yowl as my vision fades and I slump against the cage, finally taking note of the tranquilizer in my back. The world fades and I lay my head down, drifting to sleep as the gates open to let the healers in. A stinging fills my bones as the human work on my wounds, as I drift in and out of sleep.
Chapter 3 down. With 1,000 words, I was a little worried about meeting this deadline that I like to set for myself but I did it! Also, I know this chapter took a bit of a different turn then the original did but I actually kinda like it.
