"Oh my god!" Y/n screams. The red star flutters to the ground before Ray uses up even half of the ammo. She jumps up and down in excitement, giving him a large hug from behind the moment he places the gun down. "How did you do it so fast? Did you do your military service and learn how to do this?"

"Ah," a blush dusts his features as he collects the prize from the lady at the booth. He can feel the shape of Y/n's breasts on his back and her arms that sling around his shoulders lock themselves in front of him, resting on his chest. "I just calculated the best way to cut around the star with the fewest bullets after taking there size and trajectory into consideration," he mumbles. "I've never shot this kind of gun before, but it's not too difficult a task once you think about it."

Y/n gives him a final squeeze before letting him go. "That sounds like a really difficult task," Y/n laughs. "You must be a genius to have done all of that in your head just now."

Ray watches her eyes sparkle as she complements him. He feels warm despite the slight chill moving in. "Would you like me to hold onto it for now?" He asks as he lifts up the giant plushie for her to see.

"I'll take him" Y/n smiles as she puts her arms out. "Thank you so much, Ray!" She hugs the the plushie to her chest before transferring it under her arm. "I'll call him Nunsseob."

"Eyebrows?" Ray asks with amusement in his eyes as Y/n 's free hand takes his.

"Yes," she giggles lightly. "His eyebrows are adorable so I decided to name him after them."

"Cute."

Ray and Y/n spent the next couple hours floating from booth to booth while they laughed and played games. Y/n laughs as she stands up and strikes a goofy victory pose after beating Ray at ring toss. He most definitely let her win, but a win is a win and thus she decided to bask in its glory.

Ray simply snaps a picture of her in her pose as he stands up from the booth chair. "Yes, you are the best in the world," Ray smiles as he confirms. There isn't a single drop of sarcasm in his words. Ray covers his mouth as he coughs lightly as if there's something clogging his throat, his smile disappearing as he does so.

"Are you alright?" Y/n quickly drops her pose and returns to his side. He's been coughing for a while now, but this time is worse than before. His face begins to turn pale as he turns away to cough. "Ray?"

"I'm fin-" another cough interrupts his scratchy words and Y/n quickly wraps and arm around him.

"Let's go sit down in that bench over there." Ray tries to shake his head and say something else, but he barely gets enough time to breathe before the coughing takes at his throat again. Y/n eases him down on the bench and sets the large plushie down beside him before easing herself between the two. "Do you need water? Is it a cold? Or do you have some medication you take?"

Ray finally clears his throat of his cough and musters up a small smile. "Thank you, but I'm really fine Y/n. Let's go back to the booths."

His words are ignored and Y/n presses her hand against his forehead. He's burning up. "Ray, you're not okay. Why didn't you say something earlier?" She quickly goes through her bag to see if she has anything useful. Her only find is pain reliever. "How bad is it? Is it just a fever? Are you hurt somewhere else?"

Ray's mint eyes water slightly before flicking away from Y/n. "I didn't want to show you this side me," he mumbles. His voice is still hoarse from coughing and he slowly becomes light headed. "I didn't want you to think that I'm weak."

Y/n grabs his hand in hers. Just how long had he been hiding it? "Both the weak and the strong get sick, Ray. Being strong is just about being yourself and trying your best to make  it through whatever life throws your way." She presses her lips lightly to his burning temple. "I'm gonna go grab you some water, okay?" When his hand reaches out for her as she stands up, she catches it and gives it a good squeeze before putting it back on his lap. "I'll be right back, so just stay here. After you drink some water we can hop in your car and I'll drive you home."

Ray shakes his head, his dazed eyes barely managing to track her. "No, Y/n. Wait—"

She smiles, "I'll be right back."

Y/n quickly runs off and retraces her steps towards the vending machine that she remembers having water. On her way up the hill, she catches sight of the the grilled chicken muscle guy's booth. "Excuse me," she asks the man. The crowd has dwindled down since earlier so she gets to the front in a blink. "I'll take a dozen please."

The man works quickly snd bags the skewers up. "Here you go miss," he smiles as he hands them over. "I put a few extra in there for that guy you were walking with earlier."

"Thank you so much!" Y/n smiles as she pays for the food, leaving a nice tip. He must've been able to remember Ray because of his distinctive white hair. After bowing to the man, Y/n jogs down a quiet street and into an alley. Just as she had thought there is a vending machine.

Y/n quickly enters the cash needed and punches the bright blue buttons in on the keyboard in accordance to the code written beneath the water.

"Hey you," a man slips into the alleyway the same way she came and begins talking in her direction. It's only the only two of them here, so it'd be too obvious if she tries to ignore him. "Are you happy in this life you're living?" The man is wearing a typical suit as if he just got off of work despite the late hour. He approaches her casually.

"Umm, yeah," Y/'n responds as the water in the machine drops to the bottom to be taken out. The man's arms tense and tense as he watched her every move. "I'm not in need of anything that you're selling, if that's what your goal is." Y/n takes her eyes off of him as she pulls the water out of the machine. She should get back to Ray soon.

When she looks up again, there's only a foot between her and the strange man. She jumps back, but he regains the space just as quickly. His black eyes are bloodshot and his fingers flick and tremble uncontrollably at his sides. "No, no, no. Our Savior is much more powerful than that. You wouldn't be able to afford what I'm offering if you had to pay for it, miss." Y/n backs up from the man, her head swiveling  behind her only to see a dead end. In front of her, where she entered the alley, the man's face clouds her vision. His smile is twisted up to his eyes and engraved in his features as if someone had sewed it in place. "Salvation is priceless."
