A/N: Lots of switching in POV.

"What do you mean you have to hang up?!" Y/n screams into the phone. Her foot presses the accelerator to the floor as she pulls onto the highway. The full moon lights her path as she weaves her way around the other vehicles on the road. "What could be more important than Saeran at a time like this?! Don't you dare hang up!"
"I'm sorry, Y/n." The call drops.
"Fuck!" Her hands strangle the wheel.

"V? V? Are you alright?" The mint haired man holds the phone to his ear as he sprints downhill. Trees pierce the sloping ground all around him, their tall and slim bodies protecting the new Magenta building from sight just as they hide the form of the retreating man now.
"They- They saw me trying to escape through the forest," he pants into the phone. A quick look back and he can see that he is gaining ground, but painfully slowly. Their flashlights illuminate nothing but trees and bushes. He might be able to make it out. "I'm going to have to spend the night hiding in the village."
"Village? V, what can I do? Do I need to go get you?"
V's leg gets caught in a hole and his ankle twists with a loud snap. He bites his tongue as he falls face first in the dirt. All at once, the flashlights turn in his direction. Unable to run, he leans against the tree beside it. Feet pound on the dirt as they near him. "Shit." He pulls himself behind an itchy bush and rolls in a ball. He has to hope his black robes will save him from being spotted. "Just listen to what I'm about to tell you," V pants, his ankle throbbing. "Her methods have changed. She's a threat to everyone she comes in contact with— this is all my fault. We have to protect the RFA. We have to—"
"V?!"

"Hello? Y/n?"
"You better have figured out where he is." Y/n's voice leaks poison as she answers the phone. Her expression has hardened and her shaking has stilled. Determination has taken root in her. She's going to be with Saeran no matter what.
Seven hesitates on the phone and it's all Y/n needs to know. "Tell me what he said, word for word."
A sigh filters through Y/n's phone's speaker and through Jumin's luxury car. "Alright... 'She said it, didn't she. That I've been useless from birth. That I'll die if I try to live alone outside. That I'm a burden that can only make people tired. And now I did it again. I've ruined the one person who accepted me as I am. I'm scum. Someone like me doesn't deserve to—'"
"That's enough," Y/n cuts him off. She doesn't want to hear that. That's the one thing she doesn't want to hear. "If he tries to live alone outside?" Y/n asks. "Outside of where? Where do you think he is referring to?"
It could only be one of two places. Magenta and the home they grew up in. The original Magenta building has been demolished and Saeran doesn't know the new one's location. That only leaves the first. There. It has to be it. "Y/n, I'm sending you an address now with directions."
"Did you figure it out? Are you not going to come as well?"
"You'll get there sooner than me." Seven swivels between screens focuses his attention back on Magenta. V's location hasn't changed for the past fifteen minutes and he isn't answering his calls. "Please protect my brother for me."

The moon is bright outside. Thin curtains covering the broken window flap in the wind. The night air is refreshing. Silence envelops his form. If only he was born this way. Staring up at the sky and ignored by others. If only he was never a hindrance to others. If only he never had to be hurt. If only he was born this way.
Tires screech outside. He waited too long. Part of him longs to see who has arrived. The other wants to end it before they come. He lifts the pistol to his temple. He couldn't choose how he was born into the world. But at least he is able to control how he leaves it.
"Saeran"
