"Madame Chiffon, the car has been prepared for you," One of the Chairman's bodyguards stares as he guides the woman out of the theater's large french doors. A black Cadillac  with tinted windows is indeed waiting for her just outside of the the building. However, a familiar face steals her attention away. The man makes eye contact with her, then pulls his cap down to cover his face and dips around a corner.

"Um, I'm sorry, can I ask for you all to wait for me for a moment?" The guard's eyes widen slightly, the first reaction to show on his face even if only for a moment. It's the first request she has made since starting to date the chairman.

"Of course," he responds. He nods to the driver of the car who gets back in and pulls off to the side to wait in a more appropriate location. "Where shall I accompany you to?"

"Ahh," her eyes bounce back to the corner the man just dipped around before coming back to the guard. "Is it alright if I go on my own? Though this will likely put you in a rough position..."

The man checks his watch. "Your comfort is one of our top priorities. I can give you ten minutes, but please remain in the vicinity and be back here by that time." His voice is flat and authoritative, so much unlike Chiffon's. "If you're not back by the time limit, we will begin searching the area to ensure your safety."

"Thank you," she bows to the man before hurrying after the familiar face she saw previously. She turns the corner and is pulled into an alley. The man releases her the moment they are both concealed in the shadows of the narrow alleyways. "Why did you come here to see me?"

D/n sighs and leans against the wall opposite of the woman. Visually, she has barely changed since that summer which they first met. "You already know, don't you? You're getting awfully close to her." Y/n. The name remains unspoken, but rings loud and clear through both of their minds. "What are your intentions?"

"I didn't know," she clenches the strap of her bag in her hand. "I just found out three hours ago!" Anxiety washes over her. After that phone call, she's had the urge to avoid that girl more than ever before— but to learn that she's already so close... Chiffon's head begins to spin. "I don't intend anything! It was all a coincidence."

The man rolls his eyes and watches the road running perpendicular to the alley. "Let's say I believe you. If this is a coincidence and you have no intentions of getting to know her, why don't you cut it off with that Chairman?"

"I can't do that," the words jump right off her tongue before she can process them. But it's true. Not just because the call. She doesn't want to run away from the one she's finally started to love. She's done it once already and the result is right in front of her. "I can't do that."

"Then you better find a way to stay out of that girl's life. She's finally started running on her feet and doesn't need you crashing in and knocking her back down." The baker pulls his hat back on his head and steps out to leave the alley. "I recommend you wait a minute before coming out." He steps out of the shadows and returns to the proper path. He looks back once, the nostalgia of a summer some twenty odd years ago washes over her. "I hope you find happiness with that new guy of yours."
