Adriel POV"Locked up, they won't let me out.." Sigh, I should have told him, I broke one of Heaven's most absolute laws, now I'm sitting in the cells of the pack and regretting so many things. I should have just told him but looking like I was in my early-twenties mated to an infant made me feel dirty.
Yes, I could have told him at sixteen but by that time I couldn't feel the pull anymore so I thought he was no longer my mate. Alexander just had to tell Collen I was his mate and Collen being so emotionally broken just flipped without giving me the opportunity to explain. I don't blame anyone but myself, I can admit he should have known but to tell him I was his mate but no longer feel the pull towards him would have broken his heart way worse than anyone could imagine.
Imagine falling for someone that at one point you loved and then you tell them and over time that feeling goes away and they no longer feel the same way. I didn't want him to feel that pain of love and loss. I deserve whatever punishment comes my way. I know God is probably furious with me.
"You made a real mess of things Adriel." Fack... they just had to send him. Here goes the lecture.
"You were a celestial royal guard, you know all our laws word for word now look at you. In a cell for lying to your second family and for what?" He glared at me disappointingly, that's the last look I wanted to see on his face, I never wanted him to look at me with those eyes.
I look down. "I'm sorry brother, I never meant to make a bad name for the family. I tainted the name of the Galileo house.."
"You've been summoned by God himself, may he have mercy on your soul." And just like that he left and the cell door opened and two celestial guards appeared putting me in chains and shackles leading me out and to see the looks of disappointment broke me even more and I felt the change as my body felt as if I was being injected with angel poison. I could tell my once white wings would appear black as night.
Hours later I was kneeling in front of God and I broke down crying as I felt the atmosphere was thick with disappointment, fear, and dishonor.
"Mr. Galileo, you are being charged with breaking Angel law and fraud." This won't end well I know it...
After days of waiting for them to look over the case and all that stuff, it was time for the verdict.
"Adriel Galileo, the court finds you guilty on all charges and sentence you to live your life as a mortal in the mortal world." I nod and everything went black.
Two weeks later
"Sir?" I felt someone shake me and I groaned as the sun was shining brightly in my face.
"Ahm." Someone cleared their throat and looked at the man before me.
"Um, yes?" I asked him, confused.
"Sir are you ok? You're in the middle of a field and you look like hell." Well screw you asshole, I have no idea who I am or what I'm doing here.
"Do you know me?" I asked him cutting him off because his rambling was annoying as shit.
He picked up a wallet and he looked at me. "Very funny, what kind of sick prank is this?"
He threw the wallet at me and I looked at it and it was mine. What the hell is going on? I started to follow him "Mr..." I began
"Lateen" He huffed out getting in his car.
"Mr. Lateen, I assure you this isn't a prank. I have no idea where that wallet came from or how I got here, I don't even know who I am."
"I'll take you to where records are held, maybe you can find your house that way." He did just that and took me to the town hall and I found my house luckily and sighed. Getting the keys from the realtor company and after stopping at a grocery store, I found my way home.
