Baby Aaron

Collen POV 

Adjusting to parenthood has been… easy but yet hard. Being the youngest you have people to help guide you and help you when feeling defeated. What is hard however is working, yes I have separation anxiety. With our family history, you can never be too careful even if the people responsible are all dead. My mates have been with the kids 24/7. 

I was in the office doing treaties and finances for the pack when I got a call from Xavier. Apparently, I'll have a high ranked Princess, she's starting to wrestle with her brothers and sisters which really only consists of hair pulling and hitting. I think that's normal baby behavior but Xavier has always wanted to say his daughter will be the first Alpha Princess in our history.  Whatever dreams she has I'll support it, I'm sure one of her brothers will also be an alpha but who knows. 

After I finished with pack work I switched over to my 'real job' and worked on contracts, payment plans and billings for projects I have in the works. I have four current projects, one being a school for humans and supernaturals. It'll be the first in the city we live in which should be a great change… I hope. After the hunter organization fell to pieces without a leader the humans were able to see for themselves we're not a threat to them and the ones who are would be dealt with accordingly. 

Being in the office for six hours was hell but I made it, I guess it's time to go home and see my family. 

"Papa's home…" I called out.

I was greeted with screaming, crying and madness. When I left the babies were being nursed, Seraphina was drawing, she's a Celestial wolf according to the goddesses. 
As for Valerie and Freya they were sleeping peacefully, they can sleep through anything. Callahan says if we all disappeared they wouldn't know what to tell authorities because they sleep that hard. 

"I'll take two now and two later." I grab Karin and Felan letting Callahan and Xavier have peace and quiet for at least two hours. I ate on my way home so I'll cook dinner for my mates. 

After about an hour later I called my mates and older kids for dinner and I took the babies. 

I put them to bed around nine and went to bed with my mates sighing. "Sweet silence."

Just as I was about to fall asleep, I heard the cries of Zander and Aaron, sitting up I looked at my mates and they were all dead to the world. Alexander and Calder usually help but with both of them pregnant, they sleep a lot. Titan is the next one to wake up and we get out of bed going to the nursery to take care of our babies. 

"What is with all this noise you little stinker?" I asked as I picked up Aaron. I kissed his forehead and now I know why he was crying, he has a fever. I go to their bathroom and grab a washcloth and wet it with lukewarm water, not cold because that can put his body into shock and sit on the toilet gently placing the washcloth on the back of his neck. 

"Is Zander alright?" I asked Titan when he joined us.

"Yea he was just dirty and needed to be burped again I guess, he's quiet as you can hear. How's Aaron doing?" He asked and squatted next to us.

"He has a fever so I'm trying to cool him down, if this doesn't work I'll give him a bath and see how he feels after and if that doesn't work, I'll take him to uncle Jaylen, don’t need the other babies getting sick so I'm just going to keep him close to me and go to my office after I'm done and sleep with him there." 

"Want me to join you?" He asked and I would have agreed but with the babies not sleeping through the night yet and our mates sleeping so soundly, I can’t let the babies cry all night when they wake up.

"I hear ya, I don't need you to say it, I heard your thoughts. I'll run his bath water and help get him cooled down though." I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
