Connor POV 

Nine months two weeks and four days, that's how long Collen has been back with us and each day it's getting harder to bring him back emotionally. He hasn't spoken much to us and even went as far as to learn sign language, I have no idea why he won't talk but it's getting to be too much. I just want him to tell someone, anyone, anything about the weather, I don't care what he says, just as long as he speaks. I wonder if he got threatened that if he spoke, something would happen to him or us. That is the only thing I can think of, nothing else would be a good enough reason in my book. His mates are suffering because they need him just as much as he needs them but with this distance, he has put between him and everyone, I'm afraid it's too late. The bonds he has with them are weak and if he doesn't do something soon, they will become nonexistent. 

"So, what is your plan, my love?" Skylar asked me as I was finishing getting dressed. Collen is not working today as it's the weekend so I planned on taking him out for a few hours. He has gotten more comfortable being outside and with going to work, he's comfortable in town so I want to talk to him and have lunch together. 

"I thought of getting lunch to go from the diner and go to the park, eat and talk. If he wants to do anything else, of course, we'll do it, I'm going to leave it up to him but also push him a little bit to get out for longer periods of time." I looked at my mate of thirty years now, wow time goes by fast and I smiled at him. 

"What are you smiling at?" He asked and I chuckled. 

"Smiling at the thought that we have been together for thirty years. Our lives have been an up and downhill battle but I honestly wouldn't change but one thing." 

"Collen." He simply said and I nod.

"Yup, I know in my heart he will be fine as time goes but darlin', I'm worried about the bonds between him and his mates. If they don't spend time together, they won't last, any of them with him. I know because daddy and papa both spoke to me about the distance between them when I was taken but they at least were in the same room together for a little bit each day. Collen doesn't even do that, I plan on talking to him about that today." I said and kissed my beautiful mate, still as sexy as the day I met him. 

"Mmm, I love you, your mine tonight. Have fun and good luck." Skylar kissed me once more and I walked to the door. 

"I love you too and you meant to say that you're mine cuz I'm taking you tonight." I said and walked out. Skylar doesn't switch often but when he does, he begs for more so Eric, Sam, and I tag team him when we change it up and go all night and sometimes the next day. 

"Collen, come on bro, we're going out." I said knocking on his bedroom door. The guys knew I was coming over so I didn't have to knock on the front door, it was unlocked at this time anyways. He opened his door and signed to me.

"I'm not answering you, not until you speak to me." I said. I know it may seem harsh but tough love is it right now. He sighs and walks out of his room. We go downstairs and I see that his mates are in the living room.

"Hey love, have fun today, alright? Connor will look out for you so just relax and have fun." Killian said and everyone agreed. 

"We love you." They all said and Collen turned his head and looked away from them. I can see the hurt in their eyes with how he is. I know he can't help it but he needs to start opening up, even just a hug would work wonders on his soul. 

"I heard the company is doing well, I'm glad to see you're at least working like before. How have you been besides that? Seen any good movies lately? Had a good dinner, saw a beautiful sunset?" I asked and he again started to sign but I shook my head no.
