"So we are allies!" I smiled when I saw Peeta jump. His eyes were wide when he turned around.
"Sorry, I tend to not make much noise!" I explained picking up the brush on the table and examined it. It was made with pure silver with designs swirling around it which made me scoff. Of course the Capital would make something so small worth more than my house.
"I guess that will come handy in the games!" Peeta said, he seemed nervous. Which was understandable, there was only one winner in the games and he knew that if he had to fight me I had the upper hand.
"I suppose so" I mumbled putting the paint brush back on the table.
"So what are we doing today?" I ask peering over his shoulder curiosity getting the best of me.
"You will be painting yourself today and I'll give you pointers on how to make it better!" He cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable at how close I was to him. He wasn't use to the attention.
I nodded my head and moved to sit next to him as I picked up the paint brush I was looking at earlier.
"You won't get a brush or paint in the games. So you should experiment and try to use things around you!" Peeta explained as I painted my hand. I nodded my head at him, listening to every word he said.
"So what would I use instead?" I asked glancing up at him for a split second before continuing to concentrate on my hand.
"There is four things that may be easy to access in the games. Clay, Charcoal, mud, and dirt. Use whatever one would help you bled in with your surroundings. So if you are hiding in grass I recommend using the dirt and mud. If you want to hide with rocks use the clay and charcoal and maybe a bit of mud. But that is only the base, you should also use rocks, grass, and sticks to help you blend in with your surroundings! It is very simple actually! You just need to know how to apply these things!" Peeta explained. I listened to every word he said as if it was going to determine if I die or not.
"You're smart Peeta!" I praised which cause a slight blush to appear on his face. He clearly was use to a genuine praise from someone. Of course the Capital doesn't count because anyone could walk on a stage with a trash bag and everyone would love it.
"How does this look?" I asked raising my hand up for him to look at.
He gave me a few pointers to make it seem more realistic. He seemed surprise with how well it turned out as well as impressed.
"Thank you!" I said smiling at him as I wiped away the paint.
"Anything for an ally!" He said causing me to smile.
