Chapter Four
When I woke up, all I could hear was glass hitting glass. Everyone was eating breakfast.
I groaned, pulled my hair into a high ponytail, and tiredly left the room.
"Oh good, you're up!" Sugar exclaimed, taking a sip of her team. I gave her a weak smile before sitting at the table and started piling my plate with food.
"There is so much to do today but so little time!" Sugar gasped. She talked about the interviews and how excited she was to see us all glammed up again.
"Now, once you are done with breakfast, we will meet with your stylists and prepare for the interviews. But don't overeat food; we don't want you guys to be bloated." Sugar said, smiling. I instantly put down my fifth waffle and pushed my plate away.
I finished breakfast before Sugar, Link, and Chaff did, and since it was a lot more work to get a girl ready for the interviews, I was ushered through the elevator doors along with Seeder. The elevator stopped on floor four, allowing Finnick and his boy tribute, Jasper, to get on the elevator. I looked up at the victor to find he was already looking at me.
"Lyanna, Seeder!" He greeted Seeder, only nodded back in a polite manner.
Then, the doors opened on the first floor, and Glitch and his district partner got on the elevator with their mentors.
'Great,' I thought in a huff.
The doors finally opened at the lobby, allowing us all to. A few scattered capital citizens took our pictures as we walked by them. Which I gladly returned with a big smile.
I was then transported to another building where the interviews would take place.
Seeder guided me through the hallways and into a room where I was met by three people who waxed me down for the tributes parade. Waxing didn't hurt as much the second time around, and the time went by faster, probably because I was mainly already clean from their last visit.
My stylist, Emerald, came in after they were done with me and painted my face like a canvas. My eyeshadow was a light pink, fading out into a hot pink with glitter in the creases. She placed on long black eyelashes that faded out to pink with glitter. I painted my lips an innocent pink, coating them in lip gloss.
When I saw the dress, I gaped like a fish. It was beautiful. It was light pink and was covered in sparkle designs that allowed the light to hit it in all the right places. A large ribbon was tied around the waist with a giant bow. When I put it on, I looked like an innocent child, which was a look that I approved of.
Emerald then styled my hair in a princess-like, half up half down look. Similar to what I did to my hair for the reaping.
"Okay, now put these on!" Emerald said, holding up a pair of pink high heel shoes. They were extremely big.
