Jalkar knelt to the ground before Abigail, his throat dry from his cries of pain, two rare tears streaming down his dirty face.
Everything felt odd.. it was like a cold breeze that never left, it seemed to go so slow as he watched that girl become closer and closer, the tip of her arrow shining dashingly in the moonlight.

Jalkar only sighed and lowered his head, waiting for that final blow, the shot that would finally end all the pain.. huh, seemed like he wanted her to shoot him.
Though it didn't came.. instead there was a grunt and something being thrown.. not something, someone!
His head shot up and there he saw it, Grim standing at his guard Abbigail laid on the ground only feet away from the two.

"Grim?...." Jalkar croaked, hardly even gaining an answer from his reaper partner before he was being hoisted up and dragged away, his reach just barely reaching the egg and leaving it there with the girl.
Jalkar tried to fight against Grim to grab the egg but it was useless, he was far too weak to escape the man and could only allow himself to be dragged away.

When they had come to a spot Grim had laid Jalkar down against some leaves and knelt down, eyeing his wounds with a small warble.
Both their eyes met in hopes for answers from one another, Jalkar gazing into those bright blue eyes and just staring, his face becoming noticeably warm.
Grim turned his gaze away quickly and he scooted closer, his fingers gently dancing around the wounds, flinched at every wince and hiss of pain he received.

This will most definitely hurt, but they couldn't just leave two whole arrow inside Jalkar..
Grim sighed and he firmly pressed his hand on the other's thigh, ignoring the cry of pain before he ripped the Arrow out, it hadn't been that deep but he still worried he damaged some nerves..

"Grim!" Jalkar wailed, trying to grasp at his leg back was stopped by the Reaper's hand pressing firmly against his chest, pushing him back into the leaves with a small gasp.
Jalkar only groaned in response and wriggled about, whining when he was harmed from the second arrow still lodged in his hip.
Grim huffed from this and held Jalkar's hips down, grasping the weapon and yanking it out, flinching at the howl of pain from Jalkar, 'what do you expect, shouldn't have been moving' Grim chittered.

Jalkar glared daggers at Grim before groaning, he was right, of course he was! His hands reached up and rubbed his face, a deep sigh coming from the man. Eventually he got to propping himself up, leaning back against the nearby tree and just staring at Grim who stared back, it was rather awkward.

What was supposed to be said? Jalkar had abandoned Grim with that girl and yet here he was still defending him as always.. why?... he gave Grim a questioning look which only made him look away in shame, a small saddened purr escaping the reaper.
"Why.. why did you save me, Grim? How did you know?" Jalkar beckoned the other, pushing himself closer to the reaper, ignoring that shot of pain running through his lower body.

'I just felt like you needed it' Grim responded lowly, 'I still have a debt to pay off..'

"You already paid it off, you don't have to travel with me, you are free to go..."

'Not your debt I mean... nevermind... I feel like I've paid it off anyways... Once we get to the next town I'll leave you alone' Grim sat down proper and crossed his legs, his gaze slowly following the still confused bounty hunter,
"Grim what debt are you talking about, I demand less cyptic answers!" Jalkar urged, slamming his hand down with a childish huff, his eyes narrowing at the reaper, only becoming more frustrated when Grim shook his head, 'no'

"Fine, if you don't want to say anything then don't" Jalkar crossed his arms and grumbled a little that his ex-partner was being so vague.
