taehyung groaned once he heard his alarm clock blaring inside his sun-lit room, he unplugged the annoying object from the socket and sleepily sat up from his bed.
with his eyes still droopy, he yawned and stretched his limbs. standing wobbly from his bed, he brought his sweater pawed hands to rub his puffy eyes.
he went outside to take a shower surprised to see that jungkook was already on the couch— dressed on a white shirt, dark jeans and his usual black leather jacket whilst drinking a coffee, he sent a nod to jungkook who he felt just stared at him as he walked inside the bathroom.
he scrubbed all the invisible impurities out of his skin, sighing as the warm water washed away the bubbles on his now reddish skin.
and once he was done, he wrapped the yellow-colored robe around his waist. he went back to his room and dressed into a comfy but still rule-abiding clothes: a cream colored sweater crop top and a ripped faded blue loose pants.
he decided to wear a black beret to compliment the look. he arranged all his textbooks, notes and other stuff inside his bag pack before going out in the kitchen to make a breakfast.
he was about to grab a pan when jungkook suddenly spoke from the living room, “what are you doing?”
“i’m trying to make myself a breakfast so that i won’t starve in the morning.” he answered with an obviously-tone as he grabbed the frozen bacon inside the fridge, unaware of jungkook’s presence approaching him from behind.
“nope, that’s one thing you shouldn't do.” jungkook said as he swiftly grabbed taehyung away from the stove.
“jungkook, i can cook! you ate the sandwich i made last time—”
“i actually threw it away.” jungkook revealed as let go of taehyung.
“thought so.” taehyung rolled his eyes and scoffed as he walked back towards the stove, “you upset?” jungkook asked wearily.
“no, i am not. i actually doubt that you would eat the pancakes which were visually burnt..” he snorted, “but why did you lie though?” taehyung retorted looking at jungkook smugly, arms crossed against his chest.
jungkook shrugged his shoulders off, unsure of what to answer.
maybe he just liked the reaction that taehyung showed when he lied that he ate the pancake.. just maybe.
taehyung sighed as he reached for the pan once again, but a hand stopped him from doing so, “jungkook. really, stop it. i’m trying to eat. just trust me.” he assured giving jungkook a pointed look.
“the last time you said that you almost burned the whole dorm building down by trying to fry the pasta.” jungkook joked, remembering the event.
taehyung blushed as the memory hit him again, “why would you bring that! that’s so embarrassing.” he groaned as he back out, walking away from the stove.
jungkook’s eyes following his every move, looking at him adoringly.
“who would even fry a pasta! you boil them—”
“i don't know shit about cooking, how would i suppose to know?” taehyung reasoned out like a kid, waving his hands on the air exasperatedly, revealing his smooth stomach which didn't go unnoticed by jungkook.
jungkook cleared his throat, “well, searching for it is a thing you know.”
“that...” a pause, “i didn't do.” taehyung spoke looking defeated.
he slumped down on his seat as he looked at jungkook frying the chicken bacon whilst making a garlic bread on the other pan.
“why are you so good at cooking?” taehyung asked as he watched as jungkook flip the bacon.
