chapter 3 : Brainwashing Plan?

POS: Ruina

The monster tasked with bringing Clay back has arrived. He had my son. I told him to put him in a cell and chain him up. It's just until we figure out how to get Clay to join us.

"How are you going to help us get my son on our side," I asked the scientist...

"That depends. What do you want? For him to forget all his memories? Forget about your enemies? What do you want him to do?"

"Brainwash him. He needs to forget his whole past with Merlok and the knights."

"Ah okay, you should have told me earlier. I'll build you something. Just wait a little while."

"Don't take your time," says Monstrox, "Moorington will probably wake up soon."

"So? Can you hold it in place? I hope so," Naoki asked.

"It shouldn't be difficult," I said.

POS: Merlok

The knights have returned from their mission. Something had me worried. Where's Clay?

"Where's my nephew?"

Everyone lowered their heads with a sad look on their faces. What happened out there?

"Uh, Merlok," Aaron started, "Clay's... disappeared."

"What?" I asked, shocked.

"We couldn't find him anywhere," says Macy, "We think they've captured him."

"Weren't you with him?" Robin asked.

"No. We were separated," said Aaron.

"It's a big problem. Knighton's going to have a dark hour. We need to find Clay and fast."

"What are you afraid of Merlok?" Lance asked, "It's not like they're going to hurt or corrupt Clay."

Everyone looked at Lance.

"What?" they said. Why is everybody looking at me like that?" asked the white knight.

"Because they're probably going to do just that," says Macy...

"Aaah, I see so what are we waiting for to go get him," said Lance.

"I've been able to trace the monster's path to a certain place. The rest you'll have to look for yourself."

"It's a long way from here," I said, looking at the map...

"maybe half a day to get there."

"What the hell! How can it be taking so long," says Lance.

"The monster is very fast," says Ava...

"And I haven't finished the vehicles yet," said Robin.

"Well, let's be brave," said Aaron.

"I'm gonna hurt my legs," Lance said.

"It's not our problem," says Macy...

"I'm gonna get some food supplies," Axl says.

"Don't eat it all before we leave," Aaron says.

"I'll try, but I can't promise you anything."

"We'll make our own supplies," says Macy.

POS : Naoki

I was in the process of building the little tinker that Ruina and Monstrox asked for for the knight. Erase his memory, good strategy. I just hope it works. I don't want to disappoint them, because if I do, what are they gonna do to me?! They'll torture me?! Or kill me?! If this works, everything's gonna be fine.

POS: Clay

I was starting to wake up. I have a headache. It's horrible. I tried to move my arms but I just noticed they were tied. Oh no, I just remembered what happened. The monster, my mother, the attack, everything. I looked where I was. So I was in a cell, tied up. I looked at my right arm, there was a lot of energy shining out. I couldn't control it in that position.

The door opened, revealing Ruina Stoneheart. She gave me a sly smile.

"Why am I here?"

"Because I wanted to be."

"I don't think that answer is going to satisfy me."

"Hmm, you'll see. Your answer will be here soon enough."

"With a bad deed, I suppose. What are you going to do to me?"

My mother looked at me and didn't answer, she kept smiling. I just want to wipe it off her face.

"You'll see too. I'm sure you know how to be patient."

"Not in this situation."

And then suddenly, the magic in my arm made me feel a severe tingling, it hurt. And it came on suddenly without warning. I made a grimace of pain. And of course, my mother was still looking at me.

"Problem with magic," she laughed, "I can teach you how to control it. Better than your dear uncle."

"No thanks."

"As you wish."

"Hey, what are you talking about?! Monstrox asked as he came in.

"Buzzkill" says me and my mom at the same time.

She looked at me and I looked at her.

"Huh?" Monstrox asked.

"Nothing at all," said Ruina.

"What were you talking about?" Monstrox insisted...

"Magic," my mother said.

"ah okay," said Monstrox, not wanting to push any harder...

"Uh, Madam Witch and the other one there! You could come! "Naoki cried

"We're coming" said Ruina.

Monstrox left the room first and then my mother.

"I'll be back in a few minutes," she said...

"Take your time," I replied...

She smiled at my remark and left. What made her smile like that? My sponsor? My situation? That I'm in chains? Probably.

POS: Bella

The day had ended. Everyone had gone home. I was at home, I removed the piece of cloth that hid my magic on my left arm. It felt good to feel my arm free, but it is in doing so that it becomes unstable. It's weird because the color was changing sometimes lately, and I didn't know why. It was like there was something affecting my magic somehow. Like, um... An awakening. I don't know how to describe it... as if something inside me that was dormant and connected to me had awakened. Strange all this, I'll try not to be too careful. You mustn't play with magic, it could be dangerous. It could hurt someone or even kill someone.

POS: Naoki

I had just called the witch and the other one, I didn't know what they were called. It's true that it wasn't very appropriate to call them that, but they only had to tell me their names first.

"Let's get one thing straight," said Monstrox furiously, "My name is Monstrox and she's Ruina Stoneheart."

"Okay."

"You've never heard of me?!" asked the dark wizard.

"A little, not really. I've never seen you in person until today."

"Where are you at?" asked Ruina interested.

"There," I said, pointing to a helmet

"A helmet?" asked Monstrox

"A virtual headset to erase his memory"

"We can always try," said the witch
