chapter 16 :Search In The Base!

Ingrid and I were arriving at the enemy's base. We had found it because a small passage under the trees was visible. It was rather dark. You could barely make out the surroundings. And of course, it was cold. A perfect place for bad guys to hide.

"Do you know exactly where we're going, Macy? I can't see anything," said Ingrid. She was behind me, close, so she wouldn't lose sight of me, well, to make sure I was always with her.

"I can't see much either, but we'll figure something out eventually."

Suddenly we heard noises coming from further away. We continued walking and avoided making noise. We found a door ajar with light escaping from the place. We walked forward and looked into the open area to listen.

"I should be with them! It would be easier if I helped them," Bella said very loudly.

"You have to stay with me to watch the prisoners" said Naoki annoyed by the girl's behavior.

"Well, what's the point? There are only two of them. A simple knight and a vagabond with no history"

"Maybe, but they're still enemies."

"I'd rather go to the cells to watch them or even see if they're still there."

"They can't escape, Bella," Naoki said as he got up from the chair he was sitting in, "Even with weapons or whatever, they can't get free. Only my key is the solution. You have to stay with me to protect me in case of intruders". Bella sighed.

"Fine, but they're a long time coming."

"Patience. I think they'll be here in a very, very short time," Naoki said at the touch of a button.

Ingrid touched my shoulder several times.

"Stop, Ingrid" I whispered.

"Macy, you should turn around," said Ingrid, whispering too.

I sighed and turned around. What was there took me by surprise. A robot, flying, was staring at us with its red eyes. What a bad taste in colors I thought.

He started to make a noise as if he was going to shoot and he did.

The shot sent us into the room containing Bella and Naoki.

"Well, you see Bella. I hadn't lied. The intruders arrived quickly" Naoki said smiling.

"Oh boy" I said.

"You can forget about discretion. We're going to have to fight," says Ingrid.

"It's all right," I said smiling, "I'd rather fight".

"It's one thing we have in common then," said Bella, "I hope you're ready because I'm not going to give you a gift," she said as she prepared with her magic.

"Yeah. No gifts for anyone," I said confidently.

Lance, Axl, Emma, Jestro and Robin were fighting the monster army led by Pola and Fred.

"I hope the rest of them finish soon because I don't know how long we're gonna last," said Lance.

"In addition to three of the four magicians appearing," says Axl...

"I'm going to see how Macy and Ingrid are doing," said Lance as he called Macy on his headset.

Macy replied, "Yes, what's up?! We're a little busy!"
