Katsuki's only thoughts that week were 'I made a mistake' and 'Stupid Deku almost died'.
He wasn't completely oblivious to the fact that he could have done things differently, but this had seemed like the best path at the time. So why wasn't everything going according to plan? (You're the other woman!) Izuku has a quirk, that's not right. The plan was for Bakugo to make him think like the world was a scary place, therefor Izuku wouldn't do anything dangerous. Then Bakugo could keep him safe. But now he has a quirk, which means he almost died, which means Katsuki did something wrong.
But what did he do wrong?
"Okay Katsuki, lets rewind today's events. First, you went to school, caught Deku, and gave him a glare. Next you popped tiny explosions all through class when he looked at you, that's not life threatening. Third, you blew up one of his notebooks, not anywhere near him of course. Fourth you walked him without the extras and waited for him to be in the— that's it! He wasn't in the alley. The slime fucker seemed to have met him before... so... that must mean that Izuku encountered it before I did. Which with his weak stature could have killed him. A near death experience."
That's what happened. It all made sense, but why didn't Deku use his usual path? 'Maybe it was that third event, it WAS his hero notebook after all, that was a bit to much you buffoon.'
"Okay, okay, okay. How's the perfect time to come up with plan C. If Izuku has a quirk he's never used before, then he won't know how to control it, that's where I come in, I apo-apologize, and slowly build him up to being a bad ass. Then words can't hurt him, and with physical work outs villains won't be able to hurt him either. That might work."
Katsuki got off his bed and was about to leave his room before his eyes caught sight of the clock.
"20:25?"
His mother would kill him if he went out this late. On the other hand, Auntie would probably see through his plan if he apologized and offered to help with Izuku's quirk in the same day. It had to be tonight.
"And I need to ask what type of burn medicine Dek- Izuku needs."
'He isn't a Deku anymore.'
Opening his door, he ever so quietly walked down the stairs and left the house. Unaware of Mitsuki staring at him from her bedroom door frame. "So the brat had a crush huh?" She sighed and turned around, "I'll stay out of this—SCOOCH IT MASARU YOU'RE ASS IS HOGGING THE BED!"
(Probably not using — right but I have fallen in love with them)
Meanwhile, at the Midoriya residence...
Knock Knock
"Oh Izuku dear you sit there, I'll get the door."
When Inko opened the front door she immediately closed it.
"Who is it ma?"
"Just a nobody sweetie."
Knock Knock
Inko scowled. She slowly opened the door once more, "What is it Katsuki?"
"I'm sorry."
"Well you ca— wait, say that again?"
Katsuki bowed at a perfect 90 degree angle, "I'm sorry Auntie, I know it was wrong of me to treat Izuku like that, when I heated he was quirkless I only wanted to protect him, and at the time it was the only thing I could think of. Please, you don't have to forgive me, just don't hate me."
'Smooth Katsuki.'
Izuku had finished his dinner and was in the act of putting his plate in the sink, so he caught the 'I only wanted to protect him' part before rushing to his room. Unheard by Inko and Katsuki.
Inko softened her glare, "Come inside, its cold out."
Now this doesn't mean she was going to forgive him completely, he tortured her baby for 10 years, but she understood that he tried.
"Sit over there, I'm going to get Izuku, because if anything, he's the one you should apologize to."
Katsuki nodded and sat down on the love seat, sweating just a little.
Inko came downstairs with Izuku a few minutes later and motioned for Izuku to go sit with his ex-childhood friend.
"I'm going to the store, I don't want anything broken when I get back."
Then she left.
"So... what do you want Kacchan?"
