There was silence between all of them as they walked to the train station, a heavy, nervous silence. The stares they got from the neighbors didn't help, nor did the behind-the-back-whispering sooth their nerves. Eri was lucky enough to not understand most of what the people said, but the teens heard all of it. The train ride was no different, people didn't even try to hide their stares as they gazed into the back of the train at the teens, Dabi was covered in purple scars, Tenko had cracked skin, Toga had fangs, Izuku had burn marks along his shoulders that would never truly fade, and Eri was a small child with a horn. Even in a society of what should be impossible quirks, they were still looked down on, but that was fine, because one day that would change. They would make it change.

It was a relief to them all once the train opened it's doors. Dabi was the last to hop off of the bus, but he didn't leave without a little token, someone spit on his jacket right before the train doors closed. It sent him fuming with anger. Izuku calmed him down by taking out a handkerchief and wiping the spit away while telling Dabi that it wasn't okay that that happened, but it just meant that the look on their faces would be priceless once he became a top hero. It did calm Dabi down, and it helped the others a little bit as well.

The walk itself to UA was more nerve wrecking then the walk to the train had been. Each and every one of them had thoughts of turning back, but when they saw the determined look on each other's faces they marched forwards. Eri was the source of it all, she smiled the entire way. They met up with Bakugo at the entrance. Where Izuku and Tomura tripped over an uneven tile. Both of them looked to the ground in surrender, fully ready to accept defeat (it's not like it would hurt them), but were narrowly caught by Dabi and Bakugo. Eri and Toga giggled at the bizzare looks on their faces as Dabi and Bakugo scolded them on being more careful. It was a good five minutes before they resumed walking. Tomura and Izuku both looking at the ground with distrust, which made Toga and Eri laugh even more.

Present Mic's speech was loud. Very loud. Bakugo, Tomura, Dabi, Izuku, Toga, and Eri all took out their earplugs, they were all sensitive to loud noises. Iida, who sat behind them, kept his hand down, his voice would surely hurt their ears even more.

The wait for the doors to open nearly killed them, they were lucky enough to be sorted into the same testing ground, at least now they could fight together. Eri was safely strapped to Izuku's back, running her hand through his hair and braiding it. She knew that this was a big thing for all of them and she didn't want to leave them alone.

"ARE YOU READY TO BECOME HEROES?!?!"

The group tensed, they were ready.

"GO!"

They all rushed forwards, springing onto the rooftops with ease and jumping in between and on top of each  other to make it very obvious that they were working together. The shock of the crowd seemed to wear off after they had each destroyed about three robots with ease.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! BE LIKE THEM! A REAL BATTLE DOESN'T HAVE A COUNTDOWN!"

The rest of the crowd rushed forwards, all of them looking around madly for robots to destroy.

Now Izuku and his group weren't heartless, but they weren't merciful either, robot after robot was destroyed. Izuku landing and bashing their heads in, Dabi burning them into a darkened version of Tomura's ash remains. Tomura disintegrated robot after robot, just faintly touching them before moving on, Toga was more than happy to bash the robots heads in, using Izuku's style of 'grab the pole and smash', Bakugo blew robot after robot into bits. They all gave off a dark aura, a warning to those who might try to steal their points. Izuku and Toga soon formed a tag team attack style where one of them each held onto a far end and took turns vaulting the other forwards to smash a robot. It was a very effective method. They worked with such rhythm and ease with each other that the other contestants stared in awe. They were a powerful team.

"TO THE GROUP OF FIGHTERS WITH THE CHILD ON THE GREEN ONE'S BACK, PLEASE STOOOOOOOOOOOOP! YOU'VE SECURED YOUR PLACES IN THE HERO COURSE! ALL FIVE OF YOU!"

They landed in the ground with a boom, sending a gush of win at the other examiners. They all walked leisurely to the main gates and sat on top of the building closest to the exit. Watching in relief as the other fighters finished off the robots, or they were sitting relief until a large rupture burst through the ground. Eri, who was sitting in Dabi's lap, almost fell off. Izuku went into angry mother mode, the others following.

"HERE WE GO FOLKS! WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.....THE ZERO POINTER! I SUGGEST YOU GET OUT OF IT'S WA- WAIT, WHAT ARE THEY DOING?!"

The five sprang off of the building and began jumping towards the giant robot with incredible speed. Eri was retied to Izuku's back, she sat waiting for them to finish off the monster. Dabi landed first, he began to torch at the latch blocking the control panel, Tenko began to turn it's joints to dust, Toga stabbed it's 'eyes', Bakugo was clearing away any people that would be in the way of it's falling path. Once the latch had been melted away Dabi took Eri and Izuku began to fiddle with the wires inside if the robot's head. The lights that had been flickering in what remained of it's eyes began to dwindle into nothing. The robot stopped moving the ground stopped shaking.

"TIMES UP! ALL EXAMINERS PLEASE EXIT GROUND BETA! YOUR TEST RESULTS WILL BE MAILED TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! GOOD DAY LITTLE LISTENERS!"

The train ride home was better than the train ride to UA, they passed, they actually passed! They were to happy to let the snickering or disgusted faces ruin their mood. Dabi didn't even notice it when someone spat on his jacket when they got off of the train. Eri did and wiped it off quickly.

The second they stepped through the front door Izuku and Tomura collapsed to the ground.

"I," Izuku said shakily, "will never be that serious again."

"Amen." Tomura added, he extended his limbs fully on the carpet, "Now sleep."

Toga feel to the floor smiling and Dabi did the same. Inko and Kurogiri entered the house to find four sleeping teenagers and child sprawled out on the floor.

"Oh my," Inko said as she set the groceries down on the kitchen counter, "they must have had a long day."

"Indeed," Kurogiri said as he teleported each child into their room.
