XXXVIII

Before we start this chapter,

can I say thank you??? Like, this really means a lot! I was casually looking through my profile, adding Sugar? to my current list, and this hit me right in the face. I was (an am) shocked. 

Thank you all so much for following me!

Now for the actual story.

Chisaki stared in distress and the mirror shattered. All for One had promised that Midoriya's mind state was to weak to break out of his own quirk, that was part of the reason why it was locked away! 

So why? Why was the mirror in pieces on the floor and Midoriya still standing? 

Chisaki took a step back, the confidence he held a short while ago completely gone.

Midoriya hadn't moved yet. His eyes were still red, but the color was quickly fading. Chisaki quickly saw the opening and had another wave of rocks at the boy and fumbled in dismay when they all fell to the ground.

Eraserhead was sitting on the corner of a building with his eyes frozen on Overhaul, he motioned something with his hand and three figures jumped down.

"Stop where you are, Overhaul! Arf. We don't know how you escaped before- arf- but it was your last time! Arf." Hound Dog barked out angrily.

Present Mic agreed with a loud 'YEEAH!'.

Midnight walked forwards and peeled off the sleeve of her arm, "Night, night." 

If it weren't for the shock of what just happened, Overhaul would have gotten away. His mind wouldn't have been in a paralyzed state and his limbs would be moving. 

His eyes dropped sleepily until he all out collapsed on the ground, Midnight covered up her arm and the Eraserhead dropped down to check on Izuku. 

The boy was still standing frozen in front of the shattered mirror, the gas seemingly unaffecting him. Izuku's siblings had finally caught up to them and Tenko paled at the sight of Hound Dog. It might've been because he's encountered Hound Dog before, it might've been because Hound Dog reminded him if the dog he had destroyed with his own hands.

Or it might've been because the hero was getting closer and closer to his little brother.

Midoriya was standing in a complete daze, he had no clue who or what was around him. When a hand clapped on his shoulder, his first instinct took over and he stared into the unknown entity's eyes.

Hound Dog's body turned stiff as a board and he began to tear away at the muzzle he had on his jaw. He growled and whimpered and yipped.

"IZUKU!"

Midoriya turned towards the voice and could make out the shape of a tall, purple figure.

"Touya?"

The figure rushed closer to him, "That's right, it's me, Touya. Izuku you need to blink."

Izuku was confused, why did he need to blink?
He did it anyways, Touya wouldn't ask him to do something like that unless it was important.

Hound Dog stopped scratching his face, the muzzle had come off long ago, his eyes swept the area around and turned fearful at the sight of the small boy who he was trying to help in the arms of a wanted villain.

Eraserhead tapped Hound Dog's shoulder, "Dabi is no more, evidence has revealed that all villain actions he had committed were forced. Toga, Kurogiri and Shigiraki have also cleared their names and are residing in the Midoriya residence. This information is not to be shared with the public."

Hound Dog flicked his ears to show Eraserhead he understood and reached to grab his face covering. His hand hovered over it for a moment as if he were afraid to touch it. Growling a 'get over it', he grabbed the muzzle, smashed it, and stashed it in one of his pockets.

Touya was still trying to get Izuku to come back to their reality. He was snapping his fingers and asking small questions. It seemed to be working, Izuku's eyes were slowly becoming a brighter shade of green. Touya thought that was a good sign and relaxed a litte, then all of the green vanished and was replaced by a horrid red.

It swallowed up the green little by little like a plague. The weird thing was that Izuku's quirk didn't activate. Touya was staring Izuku right in the eyes and he felt no fear.

"All Might....."

The heroes attention turned to the boy, who's voice was returning to him.

"He left me. He saw the villain.... and he left."

Eraserhead turned to stop Touya's quirk from activating and was a second to late.

A bright burst of blue filled the sky and shaped into a skull, Eraserhead was able to stop him before he could do any permanent damage, but he could only focus on one quirk at a time.

Shigaraki's gloves turned to dust, the rubble around him doing the same.

They all wondered how the siblings got here before another dark vortex grew wildly, objects all around them levitating.

Touya, in one fluid motion, grabbed Izuku's phone and unlocked it.

Toga quirked a brow, "You're texting them, aren't you?"

Touya nodded, "They're going to be in the same school as us, they can help kill him faster."

Midnight ws tired of the not knowing, "Okay, hold up. Who is doing what, who ae yout texting, who are you all, and can I join in?"

A stout woman walked out from behind a portal, "I am his mother, the vortex is Kurogiri, my fellow mother, there is Shimura, Toga, and a son of Todoroki Enji, the green one is also mine. I believe their texting Izuku's friends and yes, you may help us."

"Sweet."

Touya stood Izuku up and helped him to Kurogiri's portal. Tenko and Himiko followed behind them with Inko walking in last.

It was silent, and then Present Mic. spoke.

"Weren't we supposed to take them in for questioning?"

This was quick, but I wanted to try something new.

Writing on how some actual people would speak during an event like this. Things happen quickly, people talk at a normal speed, nobody acts stoic out of the blue.
