Keith held Callum in his arms, as a video feed of an Arusian floated above him, "See Callum, Lance was right. Nothing dangerous tripped the Castle's security system. It's just a local Arusian."
"He's so cute!" Lance smiled, eyes wide watching the tiny warrior "stealthily" approaching the Castle.

"He kinda is," Pidge agreed.
"We should introduce ourselves," Allura said.
"That's probably a good idea, Arusians are pretty nice, a little old fashioned in their beliefs, but they mean well," Keith agreed.

"You've been on Arus before?" Allura asked.
"Well, no where near here, but yeah. I hid out here for a few days after a recon mission went wrong. One of the newer Misfits had gotten injured and this was the first place that could offer some help," Keith explained, "We weren't the first Misfits here though, the Arusians I meet recognized the Misfits symbol. I think they think Wren's a goddess or something."

"Well, she like five hundred years old and has powers. I can understand where the mix up came in to play," Lance joked.
Keith rolled his eyes.

"We should go and meet this Arusian and see what has drawn him to coming to the Castle," Allura said, walking out of the Command Deck, everyone following her.
Keith and Lance hanging to the back of the group with Callum as Rayla talked excitedly to Hunk.

Callum watched the pair play around. Hunk scooped the little girl up tossing her into the air and catching her before setting her on his shoulders.

Lance looked between Keith and Callum and Keith's hand. Really wanting to hold it, but not sure if he would be crossing a line.

Keith, walking beside Lance, also wanting to hold the others hand, but not sure enough in himself and his feelings to make a move.

Pidge and Shiro watching the two mentally yelling for them to kiss.

The walk was silent for the most part between the two, in the most sexually tence way possible.

Allura leading the group, head held high, but not in a snobby way, dress flowing gently behind her, looking like the graceful, good natured, princess she was rasied to be. Not that she completely filled the description.

The grand entrance groaned open at the groups approach. Keith winced thinking Wren would demand some W-D40 for the hinges, her hearing was so much more sensitive than Galra's hearing. Lance raised an eyebrow at him, noticing his flinch, but didn't comment as they walked out of the Castle.

Keith shifted Callum on his hip, scanning for the Arusian, who had undoubtedly hidden the second the doors opened. The little boy snuggled against him, burying his head in Keith's neck. The half breed purring quietly as he did, still scanning for the Arusian.

"Hello there!" Allura called out cheerfully, catching Keith's eye.
He turned spotting the Arusian the Castle had picked up.
The small adorable alien looked up at him in awe. His eyes glued to the Roman numeral on his shoulder.

"You are one of them," he said quietly pointing at the Roman twelve that announce his place in Misfits, "You are one of the great warriors of the gods. A follower of the Dragon Goddess. You are a Roman," he breathed, almost dropping his sword.
"Y-yes, I am. It is nice to meet your village's finest warrior," he smiled, drawing a claw mark over his heart in Misfits salute.

The Arusian shook himself and quickly bowed to Keith, "It is the greatest honor and highest privilege to meet a warrior as you," he said.
Keith shifted Callum in his arms again, this type of praise was new for him, he didn't like being the center of attention. Not to mention holding a little kid who was hiding in his shoulder didn't make him feel like the hero the Arusian was claiming he was.

"The honor is all mine," he said, awkwardly.
"New at this?" Lance teased quietly.
"There are eleven other Romans, I've never needed to talk!" Keith hissed back.

"If it does not offend you, may I ask, who are you're companions, they do not where the armor of the Dragon Goddess?" the Arusian asked.
Keith glanced at the Paladins.

"They are the Paladins of Voltron," Allura answered before Keith could.
The Arusian glared at her.
"Thank you, Princess," Keith interjected, cutting off the Arusian before he could speak, "We are the Paladins of Voltron."

The Arusian looked confused, "Why would the gods give up one of their invincible warriors to another cause?"

Keith was pretty sure Allura was holding back a scoff.
"Uh, well, being a Paladin is as much of an honor as being a Roman," Keith answered quickly, "The Lions only pick five out of everyone in the universe."

"Then it is no wonder a Roman would be a Paladin, are the rest Romans?" the Arusian asked.
"No, but that doesn't mean anything. Even ones who aren't Romans can be great warriors," Keith said, picking his words carefully to please both parties.

Was this how Wren felt on diplomatic missions? If so, he had a new reason to respect her more. Keith felt like he was in the middle of a minefield with his foot on a mine.

The Arusian seemed satisfied, for now. So did Allura, to Keith's relief, not that he showed it.

"May we ask you you are?" Allura asked, bending down to the Arusian.
"I am Klizap, greatest of my village's warriors!" Klizap answered proudly.
"It is lovely to meet you, I am Princess Allura, this is my castle and these are my Paladins," she answered sweetly.

Kilzap looked to Keith, " She is the Lion Goddess?" he asked.
Keith just gave him a nod, knowing Arusians could be very set in their ways.
"What Lion Goddess?" Pidge asked from the back.

Keith knew this story and opted to ignore the retelling, focusing on Callum who was trying to hide himself in Keith's Misfits jacket.

"You okay buddy?" Keith whispered.
Callum nodded, glancing nervously at the others.
"Cal, no one is gonna hurt you," he whispered, "They are like Misfits, they want to help people."
"Promise?" Callum asked.
"We wouldn't still be here if they would hurt you or Ray," Keith promised, nuzzling him with a quite purr, "You know I wouldn't let anyone hurt you guys."

A small smile edged it's way across the Cuban's face beside them hearing the soft rumble from Keith's throat before he went back to pretending to listen to the Arusian.

Have a lovely day / night!!!

We are taught to associate failure with a lack of success when we should associate only giving up with a lack of success. One can fail a million times and still succeed, I would know. I've failed at a lot of things.
