Finding where the Lions were was not a problem, the giant Altean Castle was kinda a dead give away. Though getting into said Castle was a totally different task in it's self.
The second we'd neared the Castle, it's partical barrier went up, and itself defence programming kicked in. Lasers flew all around us, Peter's spider sense was going crazy! As Lloyd tried to call into the Castle to get them to stop firing at us.
"This thing has to be like ten thousand years old, I don't think you're going to get through!" Peter called, "It's communications might be damaged!"
"But it's defense protocols aren't?" Eli snapped, "This is just our luck!" he groaned."It's really impressive actually!" Peter grinned to himself, "this thing must have been one hell of a force in battle!"
"Spider!" Lloyd warned.
"What my dad doesn't know can't hurt him, plus he says so much worse!" Peter argued, dodging more blasts as the pasted.Lloyd sighed over the comms, a green field of energy forming around his fighter.
"Uh, Green, I don't think that's a good idea, Alteans invented partical barriers, I don't think you wanna try that!" Peter called.
"You literally just said it was ten thousand years old! The thing has to be weaker than most today!" Lloyd snapped."Alteans made theirs differently! We don't know if you can break through it!" Peter said, "You could overload like when you stay in contact with Doc for too long!"
Lloyd paused, "That would be one hell of a shock wave, wouldn't it?"
"If by that you mean flatten everything in about a ten to fifteen hundred kilometer radius, which includes an Arusian village. Yes, it would be!" Peter answered.Eli whistled, "Dam."
"No shit," Peter agreed.
"Stark," Lloyd warned.
"Garmadon," Peter sent back.
Eli chuckled softly to himself, "Still can't believe that's your last name!"
"Shut it Shane!" Lloyd snapped."So, Spider, if we can't cannon ball through it, what's the plan? You have some kind of anti-Altean tech thing?" Eli asked.
"Umm, no?"
"Slinger what slugs did you bring?" Lloyd asked.Peter scrunched his eyebrows in confusion, "What?"
"Got it!" Eli smiled, pulling his fighter away from the fight
"Wait, I'm confused, what's going on?" Peter called."Come on, we've gotta get out of range!" Lloyd called, flying away from the Castle.
Peter, confused as ever, flew after him. Eli looping around, flying with his landing gear out."Pick up the pace!" Lloyd called, pushing his fighter harder, Peter right on his tail, the Castle still firing at them.
Eli shot past them, slowly losing altitude.
"Oh! X-miter!" Peter smiled, "Oh..." he said realization hitting him, his face falling. He glanced behind him, a sigh of relief escaping his lips seeing they'd be far enough away for their fighters not to be effected.
A flash of blue emitted from Eli's fighter, a small projectile, which would be the X-miter, collided with the partical barrier. A green shock wave rocketed outward, any and all tech it touched shutting down instantly.
Lloyd and Peter skitting to a stop, watching the energy field dissipate, before the pair doubled back to the Castle. This time without dodging hundreds of thousands of lasers.
The boys landed their fighters beside Eli's, that despite not being functional, when landing, hadn't sustained any real damage.
"What took you so long?" Eli teased, his half mask hiding one of his dopey grins.
Lloyd rolled his eyes, the only thing visible behind his ninja-like mask, "Let's just find Keith," he said.
"Shouldn't be a problem!" Peter smiled, coming over to them on three robotic spider-like legs, connected to his suit that his dad had made and Peter had upgraded, "I've got a lock on his gauntlet," Peter smiled, not that anyone could see it with his full face mask."Lead the way," Lloyd said.
Peter smiled, pulling his legs up criss-cross as the robotic limbs carried him to and in the Castle.○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●
