With the Princess and the Paladins out becoming allies with the Arusians, Coran was left to defend the Castle and the Lions from threats.

So when the alarms started blaring for the second time that day, the older Altean when racing to the bridge. Three unidentified pods being shown, flying towards the Castle.

Coran raced to his control panel, opening the communications, trying to contact the pods. After several attempts he couldn't get a hold of the pods. The older Altean studied the three pods nevously. They could be hostiles, they could also be Red's teammates. He couldn't risk firing on them incase the latter was true, but he couldn't do nothing.

Before Coran could decide on what to do, the Castle decided for him.

Hundreds of blasts started firing at the ships after the partical barrier went up. Making Coran yelp in suprise before sending him into a panicked frenzy trying to turn off the Castle's defences. The three pods dodging the Castle's fire fairly easily.

The Altean glanced back over his shoulder at the three pods, one had a green force field up that didn't look like any Coran had seen. Though he found it strange none of the other pods had activated their shields.

Without reason, the pod with the force field, lowered it's shield, flying away from the Castle, one of the other ships on it's tail. He would have thought the pods were retreating. If it weren't for the third racing towards him.

Coran felt his eyes widen were they going to try and ram through the partical barrier? They had to know even if the Castle was ten-thousand years old that would still kill the pilot. Even with this thought in his mind, Coran couldn't make himself move. He was frozen in place watching the pod dodge every lazer fired at it, racing towards it's doom.

In another turn of surprising events, the pod fired a single shot, lowering it's landing gear. The Castle automatically zoomed in on the incoming projectile. What Coran saw he couldn't begin to describe.

A small mucus colored creature, that was almost slug like, transformed into a small green monster, with green jade horns coming from it's head, two lower fangs overlapping it's upper lip. The monster curled in on itself, before pushing out a green energy field, the same color as it's skin, inches from impacting the partical barrier.

The second the green energy touched the partical barrier, the barrier started shutting down, sirens and red lights flashing around the room as the energy surged towards, and through the Castle. With in seconds of the monster dispelling it's energy, the entirety of the Castle had shut down.

Coran just stood there dumbstruck for a minute in the dark.

The Altean shook off his shock, it was his duty to protect the Castle from attackers, if these were attackers he would take care of them!

The man raced to the door, pausing as he struggled to open the door. And after several minutes of forcing it open he raced down the hall, ready to face whatever was to come.

...

Or that's what he thought before he came across the three pilots of the pods.

The one the right wore armor that covered his whole body, with baggy cloth spilling over the straps keeping the armor in place, and a mask that covered his whole face. Minus his green eyes that shone it the dark, like a light was lit behind them that the power of the monster that had disabled the Castle couldn't put out. A sword was strapped to his back. And a belt with about ten pouches was tied to his waist, an assortment of knives, and other small surely deadly weapons stationed in between the pouches.
