The chapter being titled "Blue" implies that this is Lance's P.O.V third person limited, at this time he doesn't realize Pidge is a girl so she, I'm going off of what I know to be cannon as far as her gender goes, is referred to as a male by Lance. I'm sorry if I offend you somehow.

This also skips over The Garrison trio saving Shiro, finding Blue and leaving Earth. Why? I have no idea. Maybe my subconscious was just not willing to do that.

"What about the Red Lion, there are only four of us," Pidge pointed out after each of them had been assigned a Lion and split into teams to get Yellow and Green.
"Yes, well, we will have to find a pilot for the Red Lion," Allura sighed, "We will still be bringing it here once I can locate it," she smiled.

The Paladins nodded heading to Blue or the pod. Lance's mind wandering to what he saw when he meet his Lion.

The sharp violet eyes that bore into him seeming to read him like an open book. The awe and curiosity that had flown into him followed by smoke and cinnamon. He didn't know why but everytime the Red Lion was mentioned he pictured those eyes and he thought he could smell smoke and cinnamon, just barely.

"Hey buddy, you okay?" Hunk asked setting a hand on Lance's shoulder.
"Yeah I'm fine," Lance said giving his friend his famous cocky grin, "Now let's go get your Lion."

The Lion flew up through the wormhole. The experience still as amazing as the first time they'd passed through.

A lot of screaming and fighting and almost dying later the pair barely made it through the wormhole in time.

Groaning they walked back into the control room of the castle. Lance trying to get a kink out of his back from being so tense during their fight.

"How was your trip?" Allura asked innocently.
Lance gave her a short glare, "It sucked," he answered shortly, "What about you guys?" he asked Pidge and Shiro.
"Oh, it wasn't a cake walk, either" Pidge smirked him and Shiro sharing a knowing look.

"Well I hope you're all ready to go back out there, because we've just located the Red Lion!" Allura smiled.
"Where is it?" Shiro asked, way to eager for Lance's liking.
"Near a Galra cruiser not to far from here. Though it's moving quite a bit. It may have already found a Paladin," Allura smiled.

"Well that's one less problem," Pidge smiled.
"Wait, why is it attack the Galra cruiser? If it's only one person wouldn't they want to hide from the Galra?" Lance asked.
"You'll have to ask the Paladin," Shiro said, "Come on you all should get ready to back it up and convince the Paladin to come back with you."

The teens nodded, heading to their Lions.
"So anybody got an idea how were gonna get this guy to come back with us?" Lance asked, as they exited the atmosphere.
"Or girl," Pidge added, "We don't know what gender the Paladin is."

"Well maybe if we help them with whatever they're doing they'll come back and hear us out about the whole Voltron thing?" Hunk suggested.
"That's not a bad idea," Lance agreed.
"Seems reasonable," Pidge nodded.

A large explosion lit up the blackness of space.
"HOLY CROW, WHAT WAS THAT!!!" Lance shouted.
"Guys that's where the Galra cruiser is supposed to be!" Pidge said.

The teens froze.
"Come on we gotta see if they're ok!" Lance said, shooting off towards the slowly dissipating fire ball. Hunk and Pidge on his tail.

"Hello. Anyone there?" Hunk called out, "Red Lion?"
Lance glided slowly over the wreckage of the Cruiser, "Dang, whoever this Red Paladin is I don't want to get on their bad side," he commented.
"No kidding, the way this metal is warped makes me think there were bombs on the inside of the ship. Either they weren't working alone, or our Red Paladin was actually inside the ship setting up the bombs, and somehow controlling their Lion at the same time," Pidge said studying some of the chunks of metal.
