Everything was going great. So why was Keith surprised when the sound of lazers firing caught his attention. Why was he surprised to see three Misfit's pods engaging in a fire fight with the Castle of Lions.

A string of Greek and Latin curses left his mouth as he ran back towards the Castle, "Callum, Rayla stay with Allura!" He called over his shoulder, mentally cussing out whoever thought bring Bakugo without Kiri or Carter without Wren was a good idea.
The two kids nodded, Callum grabbing onto the Altean Princess's leg. The rest of the Paladins raced after the half Galra shouting questions, asking what was going on, and who was in the pods.

None of which Keith answered, his feet pounding on the forest floor, his pace only increasing at the sound of slug fire and seeing two pods retreating. "Well at least they brought one half rational person," he muttered to himself, the fear of someone, probably Coran, dying, forcing his feet faster.

The Misfit was only half aware of he's shift to his Galra form due to the tightening of his Paladin armor before it adjust to his new body. The older teen, no longer slowed at all by the terrain, shot through the forest, faster than any of the other Paladins could hope, not that they had kept up with him when he was in his human form.

In no time the Misfit had reached the Castle. He shot past the three pods, one of which he knew wouldn't work for awhile. Keith rushed through the clearly forced open doors, which gave was to a new fear that the explosive ash blond wasn't the one that had came to Arus. The raven rased up the grand staircase, nearly bowling over Lloyd and Eli, who were heading out.

"Where?!" was the only question Keith could manage to get out.
"Woah, woah, woah! Where, what?" Lloyd asked grabbing Keith's arm, now standing like the raven.
"Bakugo or Carter!" Keith clearfield.
"Uh... Ground Zero is at base and Oni is coming here to help secure the Lions with the rest of the Misfits?" Eli answered.
"Then who the fuck started the fight with the Castle!?" Keith shouted.
"No one, the defense protocols malfunctioned," Lloyd stated,"Now calm down man, you went Galra."

Keith took a few deep breaths, count them down as he's body returned to it's normal human form, the Paladin armor resizing itself again to fit him.

Eli let out a snort.
"What?" Eli raised an eyebrow.
"Shoulder pads and a mullet, pfft, you really are going for that nineteen-hundreds look!" Eli laughed.
"Says the guy who refuses to not look emo as fuck!" Keith retorted, playfully swinging at his teammate
Lloyd smacked the teen upside the head, "Language."
"Sorry Cap," Keith grumbled, rubbing the back of his head.

"Red!" Lance called, the rest of the Paladins just getting there.
Lloyd tipped his head at the four humans, humming the way he did when his students didn't preform how he'd hoped.
"Who are they?" Pidge asked, "And what was with the pods outside? Why did you take off running? Why was the Castle firing at the pods?'
"I'm Green," Lloyd stated, "This is Slinger, and Spider is currently with your mechanic, Coran, helping fix your Castle. It malfunctioned and started firing at us."

Keith's eyes went wide, "Spider's dad let him come?"
"He knows the most about Altean tech," Eli shrugged, "If your Lion was damaged we didn't want to risk anything."
"Wait, how old is this Spider guy?" Lance demanded.
"Bout our age, he's family is a legacy in Misfits," Keith answered, "And he's probably not leaving anytime soon."

"Yeah, Verde screwed up there!" Eli laughed.
"Your welcome to go get him or explain to Mechanic," Lloyd offered.
Eli shut up real quick.

"You guys pick the weirdest codenames," Pidge stated, shaking her head.
"It makes sense once you met him," Lloyd answered.
"Yeah he's like the main techie of Misfits. Most of our suits are his design," Eli added.
"Okay, I gotta met this guy! I have so many questions!" Hunk smiled, his and Pidge's eyes lighting up at the mention of the suits.

"Did I just make Pete friends?" Eli whispered.
"Probably," Keith shrugged.
"I am not calling that in," Lloyd stated, walking away from the two boys, and towards Shiro, who was talking to, probably Allura, over the comms.

Eli gave Keith big pleading eyes.
"Nope, you made your bed, now sleep in it," Keith say, walking away from him.
"Come on, man!" Eli groaned chasing after him, "What happened to the whole brothers in arms thing?"
"That applies to the Galra Empire, not explaining to the guy who made a fling suit of armor in a cave with scrap metal why his kid is refusing to leave a ten-thousand-year-old castle!" Keith pointed out.

"Why do I always get stuck with these jobs?" Eli whined.
"Because you fuck up a lot," Keith stated.
"Red!" Lloyd snapped.
"Sorry."

"So... is the no cussing rule a him thing or a Misfits thing?" Lance asked, having walked away from Pidge and Hunk's feeling out to join them.
"Definitely just a Green thing. He'll yell at Wren for it though," Eli stated.
"Isn't Wren like the badass who runs Misfits?" Lance asked.
"He's her right hand man," Keith answered.

Lance whistled quietly to himself, "I knew you were important, but dang man."
"I mean we work with her on a daily basis. There are only twelve Romans," Eli shrugged, "We're all the best in one department or another."
"Really, so where do you two fit?" Lance asked.
"Infiltration," Keith stated simply.
"Anything to do with fire arms and anything underground," Eli answered.
"Fire arms huh?" Lance smirked, "I don't wanna brag, but I'm a pretty good shot myself."

"Is that a challenge?" Eli smirked back.
Keith sighed, "Quite while you're a head, Lance."
"Why don't think I can hold my own?" Lance half glared, in a teasing manner.
"Against a normal marksman, yeah, you probably could. Slinger? That's a funny joke," Keith humorlessly chuckled.

"I could totally out shoot him!" Lance argued.
"No, you can't, no one can, that's the reason he's a Roman," Keith argued.
"No, no. I wanna see what he's got," Eli smirked, "You guys have a training room, right? After the power comes back on, how bout we see who can take out more targets with the least amount of slugs fired?"
Lance's smirk grew "You're on, man!" Lance smiled triumphantly at Keith.
"You are going to get you ass kicked," was all he said, before walking over Shiro and Lloyd.
