Nights After Storm

Chapter 4

The ride to school with Jay was silent at that point I remember that he is popular and that I'm going to come out of the car with him and he is Maddie's boyfriend how is this going work.

We where near so I told him "drop me of here and I will walk the remaining".

"why should I, are you scared" he said laughing.

"stop laughing will you, I'm not" I said back annoyed.

"then why do you want me to drop you?" he frowned clearly confused.

"Because Maddie is a maniac who knows what she will do to me!" I said trying to reason with him.

"chill, I got it she won't do anything" he said obviously happy by my wreck.

Soon we reached school and it was time to face whatever the school gat and whatever Maddie will do.

"Evie are you ready!!, because I know you are not used to all this" he said turning to look at me, I nodded.

As he came out cheers erupted by students standing around and they gathered to welcome him my insides felt like jelly, I stood up opened the door and got out and I heard people gasp. There were murmuring all over the place I was so uncomfortable I think he noticed that he came over to me took my hand in his as he held me I felt warmth and assurance I looked up into his blazing blueish grey eyes and I felt safe. There weren't much people in the hallway I felt relief wash over me just then Maddie started approaching us.

"I have to go now" I said releasing his hand. He held me by my wrist and pulled me back into his hard chest that seemed comforting we were soo close no space between us he started leaning in and then I heard someone gasp it was Maddie immediately I moved out of his hold and headed for my locker I saw Nikki and Emerald come up to me.

"What was that? " Nikki asked she always asks to many questions.

"I myself do not know" I said not in the mood for any drama.

"well turns out Maddie is upset" Emerald said she isn't the type that talks much.

"don't you think I already know that" I was confused right now second day of school and I'm on the blacklist of the head cheerleader.

I looked at Jay by his locker and saw Maddie ranting and him looking unmoved by her actions he spotted me looking and smiled giving me an isn't she soo crazy look just then she turned and saw me. Just great now things have doubled up I had no Idea what I was going to do but one thing is for sure I was irritated by her,  her attitude was awful and she wore tiny cloths that didn't over anything properly. I just turned and headed to class Nikki and Emerald were talking about something it didn't seem to interest me that was definitely the least of my problems right now.

School passed really fast I was happy about that even though I was sad about not spending much time with Lee I only sat with him during lunch, but it was gym class now so I had a chance to talk with him. I changed to my gym cloths with Emerald and Nikki as usual and as we were about to leave the devil walked in and by the devil I mean Maddie,  she stood right in front of me and blocked my way.

"can I have a word with you" she said having a creepy smile on her face and I knew exactly what was coming.

"yeah sure" I said with a lump in my throat.

she looked around and said "like alone" and my friends left.

"look I saw you all over Jay this morning stay away from him" she ordered.

"Are you jealous" I said looking her in the eye.

"it doesn't matter to you what so ever just stay away from him he is mine fine yourself yours" she said pissed off.

An Idea popped in my head why not have a little fun and make someone very jealous.

"ok I will try" I said with a devilish smirk on my face.

Jay's POV
After coming to school with Evie it seems like Maddie was really pissed off it made me happy.

I was leaning on my locker talking to my team mates about the games tonight when she came out of the girls wash room she made gym class worth going for they noticed i was not paying attention to their discussion then Josh turned around.

"don't  tell me you are drooling over the new hot kid" he say laughing

"I'm not" I said trying to hide anything that could show.

"she is pretty hot" kyle said dreamily.

I thought it was only girls that do that but it turns out guys do it do.

"excuse me i will be right back" I made my way towards her and it seemed like she was running from me.

"Evie!!  Hi wait up" and then she stopped.

"what is it Jay,  can't you just leave me alone" she said bitterly

"is there something wrong what did I do?" I said absolutely confused by what us going on.

"Nothing just tell me what you want" she said.

"Well I was wondering if you could come to our game tonight and well you know wear my number" I said rubbing my temple.

"you have a girlfriend Jay why not pay her more attention and leave me alone" she said harshly.

I was just too stunned to say anything so I let her walk away and I headed for class with the guys.

Gym class was hell especially since I just got turndown I had no idea of what to do so I still went ahead to approach her.

"Evie please don't mind whatever Maddie has told you,  I just want you to come to my game and wear my number" I said looking into her hazelnut eyes.

"fine I will" she said reluctantly.

"great thanks pick you up at 7pm" I said grinning broadly "bye" I jugged away happy as ever.

When I first saw this girl I have never felt anything close to what I am feeling for her right now even when I am with Maddie.
