Nights After Storm

Chapter 5

Evie's POV
I looked around to find Nikki and Emerald.  After what seemed like for ever I finally found the they where already running tracks so I joined them. I didn't say anything because I was lost I'm my own thoughts.

"soo.... Who is up to hang out today?" I heard Nikki ask.

"wait homecoming is in a few days" I said a little out of breath "why don't we all help each other decide on dresses".

"that is true I'm soo excited" Emerald squealed.

"and....." I said adding. "I could bring a friend for you guys to meet what do you say about that".

"sounds great" they said in unison.

School was over I texted Liv to meet me at my house as we planned. She arrived and we went to the mall the girls where actually really excited to meet each other.

We had entered like a thousand shops already Emerald has gotten hers, I and Nikki were left. We entered another shop and tried on different dresses. Nikki found one it was perfect it was black at the top then different colors after the belt and gathering by her stomach. I went around still searching when I came across a dress it was off shoulder dark purple from the top then fades into pink and at the tip was peach it went all the way to the ground it was light and beautiful, I loved it. I came out of the changing room and the girls stopped their discussion and all eyes were on me.

"Oh..... My.." Nikki was cut off by Liv.

"it is beautiful" she said her eyes glued on the dress.

"I'm officially jealous" Emerald said with an ear to ear grin.

"I love it, it's perfect" I finally said  "guess this wasn't a total waste of time" I giggled.

We payed for our dresses and decided to go out for ice cream!!! I love ice cream it gave us a little time to bond.

"so..... Guys tell me your dates to homecoming" I said while taking a spoon I knew Liv will be left out so I mouthed a sorry and she said it's fine then Emerald spoke up.

"well guys sorry I didn't tell you this earlier mine is jake".

"OMG Jake is super cute how did you even get him" I said eyeing and mocked her then we all busted out laughing. I asked Nikki and she said.

"I don't have yet but I'm hoping it will be Liam" she said shyly.

"you wish" I said laughing till my stomach hurt.

" I also don't have yet" I said scoping my ice cream "and I don't know who I want it to be".

Just then my phone buzzed it was on the table to the view of everyone. I looked at it.

"Dammit" I said under my breath it was Liam.

"Hey......" I said answering it.

"Hey! where are you?" he said.

"out with my friends" I said with confusion on my tone.

"when will you be back?"

"maybe around 5..... Why are you bothered?"

"nothing..  Really"

"ok then bye"

"bye" he said ending the call.

Just then I remembered that the football game is tonight.

"uhm guys I think  I need to go the game is tonight and I have to go with Jay" I said standing up.

"ok then let's head home" Liv said standing too.

"bye guys" we chorused.

We then went out and got into the car heading back home. Liv parked in front of her house and I just walked across the street to mine we said our goodbyes and I left.

"I'm home mom" I yelled.

"hi darling, someone was here to see you a while ago" mom said coming from up.

"who was that" I asked in confusion "Liam?".

"Yes he said he needed to tell you something" my mom said.

"ohh...... I'll just call him then" I said

"sure go ahead" my mom said with a smile. I picked up. My phone and dialed Liam he answered on the first ring.

"hello" Liam said

"hi Liam my mom said you came over looking for me" I replied

"oh yh I wanted to show you something"

"ok sure I'm home now, so you could come over and show me" I said a little bit surprised a little bit confused.

"nah I think you should just go to your room and rest" with a smile in his voice.

"What?!!, I really want to see it ok? Just come show me" I'm a curious type of person and now curiosity is eating me up.

"just do it and don't put off the call".

"ok then"

I slowly walked upstairs unsure of why he will want me to do that there was silence on both ends. I twisted the door nob.

"OH MY God!!!!" I screamed.

There where balloons all over my room streamers dropping from every single space on the ceiling a giant bear on my bed with chocolate and balloons and a banner by my window saying 'will you go to homecoming with me?' I almost started crying then I ran towards him and jumped into his arms he had a dirty smirk on his face.

"yes I will" I said still with a high pitched voice.

"it seems you like it" he said still with the grin.

"like? I love it!" I squealed.

"yh I figured"

"how?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"well.... I know you love surprises so...." he said laughing.

We stood there for sometime, I was in his hands silence filled the room I was locked in his eyes it felt like the whole world was out and we were the only two alive then he leaned in and kissed me at first I yelped a bit in shock but I responded I kissed back then I remembered I had to go for a game in like an hour I gat to get ready.

I pulled away slowly and came out of his arms.

"I have a game I'm going to with Jay so I should better get ready" I said pointing to the bathroom.

"go ahead" he said with a nod

I grabbed my towel and entered the bathroom.
