Chapter 2: Bark's Second Plan😈

The next morning in prison, Bark was hanging around in a cell. He saw Kano and said, "This sucks," "Tell me about it. Another "devious" plan caused and ruined by you!" Kano said. "Look, I know you're mad at me but-" Bark started then the TV came on. The newsman reported, "Trouble in New York Time Square. An Australian Shepherd stole jewelry from the Popular Jewelry store. She looks to be about ten months, grey, white, tan, and black coat, and looks to weigh about twenty-five lbs. Police are still looking for her. If you see anything, contact Local News or 9-1-1." Bark's mouth was dropped. Then he made an evil smirk. "Well, well, well... looks like my day is turning around. That pup looks almost like Lily." Bark said. "She's darker than Lily," Kano said. "Well I said almost! And now... I have an idea..." Bark said. He started to manically laugh but Kano interrupted him and said, "Let me stop ya right there. I'm not helping you with ANOTHER miserable scheme. I'm not gonna take your silly orders and go through all this stuff just to get thrown back into prison again. Take this as... hm, ME LEAVING THE MEAN TEAM." "What?!! But you CAN'T leave the Mean Team!" Bark said. "I can, and I did," Kano said. "Come on, Kano. You can't just be mad at me because I didn't get your luxury eye patch." Bark said. "Actually I can. And I am." Kano said. "OK, OK, I'm sorry. But you can't blame me! Lily got in the way!" Bark said. "Oh, it's ALL Lily's fault now, is it?" Kano said annoyed. "How could I have prevented this?!" Bark asked getting mad. "Made the scheme... better?!" Kano said. Bark growled and then unlocked his cell with his claws. Kano perked his ears up. "You wanna help me so you can get out of here or not? It's your choice." Bark said. Kano lowly growled and said, "Fine. But I swear it won't work." "Ha, we'll see." Bark said. Bark opened Kano's cell and then the two both ran to Time Square.

In Time Square, Bark and Kano were both hiding behind trash cans. "So we're looking for that pup?" Kano asked. "Yes," Bark said. "Why?" Kano asked again. "Because she's gonna impersonate Lily." Bark said. "WHAT?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?? YOU DRAGGED ME INTO THIS SCHEME OF YOURS JUST TO DO THE SAME THING YOU TO DID TO TINY AND SCRAPPY A FEW YEARS BACK!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!?" Kano yelled at the top of his lunges. The whole time Kano was screaming, Bark was sitting in a corner trying to find something to plug his ears with. Kano panted hardly. "You done? K. Come on, I'm almost positive she went this way." Bark said walking in his direction. "Oh-oh really?! Did your... super-dumb brain tell you that, too?" Kano snapped. "No, one: I have a pup's scent. And two: I saw this same spider on the wall in the TV." Bark said. Kano rolled his eyes. "But this leads straight down Cat Alley..." Kano said hesitating to move forward. "So? Are you scared?" Bark asked smiling. "No, I'm annoyed. I hate cats." Kano said walking down Cat Alley. Bark shook his head and rolled his eyes. He then walked with Kano.

~Cat Alley~

"Stop," Bark said stopping Kano from walking. "Now take your toll and give it to me." An Australian Shepherd puppy said giving Catty Purry the jewelry from Popular Jewelry. "What's that slimy contagious cat want with my potential bad guy?" Bark wondered. Kano rolled his eyes. Catty Purry sighed annoyed and gave the Australian Shepherd a scrap of meat. "One scrap? Are you kidding me, that's not even worth what that jewelry is!" The Australian Shepherd said. "Well come back tomorrow and bring me more jewels and we'll think about giving you a raise." Catty Purry said. "But-" The Australian Shepherd started then Catty Purry hissed. "Get out of here, pup! Scram!" Catty Purry said. All the cats unleashed their claws and hissed at the pup. "Ugh," The dog said walking away with a scrap of meat in her mouth. "Well that didn't seem fair. That much jewelry for one scrap?" Bark said walking over to Catty Purry. "Wha-?! Oh, it's you two. What do you want?" Catty Purry asked as she realized it was Bark and Kano. "Where's that little pup live?" Kano asked as he growled as a threat. "Why should I tell you?" Catty Purry asked. "Because if you don't, we'll light this place on fire!" Kano threatened. Catty Purry gasped and said, "You wouldn't dare!" Bark had a match in his mouth. "One scratch and this place will blow up in flames. It's your choice." Bark said. "Fine! Stop, stop, stop! She lives near the bridge! She lives near the bridge!" Catty Purry said. "Thanks," Kano smirked as he walked away with Bark.

Bark and Kano made it to the New York bridge and saw a box on it. They walked over to it. "Hello?" Kano said. The Australian Shepherd came out and gasped. "Go away! I ain't goin' to jail!" The Australian Shepherd said running away. Kano blocked her and said, "We aren't gonna turn you in." "Y-you're not? You're lying!" The Australian Shepherd said. "No, we want to ask you for a favor." Bark said walking over to her and blocked her, too. "Um... OK?" She said. "I'm Bark and this is my friend-" Bark started then Kano said, "Client!" Bark scoffed and said, "Anyway, this is Kano. We wanna ask if-" Kano interrupted him and said, "HE wants to ask if!" Bark growled and rolled his eyes and said, "ANYWAY!!! We wanna ask if you'll be Lily on Pup Star. Just until the end of Pup Star. Because you're gonna lose at the end. Now I know you might-" Rose cut Bark off by saying, "Yes! Oh, I'd LOVE to kick Lily off of Pup Star! She ruin my life!" Bark smiled and said, "Looks like we both have something in common. So come on, we have some work to do with you if we're gonna fool anyone." Bark said laughing in an evil way. Rose looked at Kano. "He's crazy. You'll get used to it." Kano told her. Rose shrugged her shoulders and followed Bark.
