It had been almost a month since the raid party had defeated the boss. Since Kirito abandoned you. You were going solo. You didn't care whether Kirito was going solo or not, you were looking out for yourself, and yourself only. Tch. Idiot. You thought to yourself. You levelled up quite a lot within the these weeks, spending all your time fulfilling quests, selling unwanted items, and trying to clear dungeons.

You were walking through an empty field on the 2nd floor, looking out for mobs to spawn. The grass was a bright green, shimmering as the sun hit the ground. The wind blew threw your h/l h/c hair that shone in the sunlight. The sky was a bright baby blue with scattered white clouds. It was beautiful. Suddenly, you heard a footstep on the pavement which you walked on. You froze in your place, listening closely and intently. Closing your eyes, you hightened your focus on your surroundings; Gripping your sword, prepared for what came your way. "Yo, y/n?! Is that you?" You heard a deep husky voice. You pulled out your sword and dashed towards the voice behind you, holding the sword up to his neck. "W-woah. Chill out, it's me. Agil? Remember?" Agil said frantically waving his hands as sweat dripped from his head and left eyebrow.

Once you realized who it was, you relaced your sword and sighed, putting it back on your back. "Don't sneak up on me like that, dude. I could've killed you." You said, furrowing your eyebrows. "So, what is it that you want from me?" You said, not trying to be cold. "Wow, no need to be harsh. I just saw you and wanted to catch up. You seem to be doing well..." Agil said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head that glistened as the sun made contact with it. "Not really..." you said softly with a sigh. "Yea, I saw what happened with you and Kirito after the boss raid." Agil said as you both walked along the pavement path.

You refrained from saying anything, leaving an awkward silence lingering between the two of you. "Soo..." Agil said, breaking the tension. "You going solo now?" He asked, looking at you for an answer. "Yep. I don't need anyone to hold me back." You said coldly, staring straight ahead. Agil scoffed. "Woww, so cold." He said as he lightly punched your arm and gave off a light chuckle. You smiled a little bit, but quickly took it off of your face. "But, I know that's not true." Agil said. You were shocked but kept walking next to Agil. You didn't respond. "Remember? I said I saw what happened with you and Kirito." Agil said, stretching his arms up in the air and laying them behind his neck. He wasn't looking for you to verbally answer. He wanted to let you know that he knew how you were feeling. "Y'know, I might not be Kirito... But I'll be here for ya if you need anything." Agil said giving you a teethy smile with his eyes closed. You smiled back, grateful for his kind words. But did he mean it? You thought to yourself. You sighed. "Thanks Agil." You patted his back, not realizing how hard you were hitting him. He groaned as he lost his breath. "Damn, y/n." He said, holding his lower back. You chuckled and said, "Sorry, Agil."

Agil and you walked along the path, fighting and killing any monsters that crossed you. Although, neither of you asked to be in a party. Agil and you joked and laughed as you were walking together, breaking you out of your reserved persona. It made you glad that someone would go  out of your way to make you smile. Both of you gained a couple levels before finally reaching the end of the quest you had been fulfilling. "Woww, so you just used me to finish a quest, huh?" Agil joked but you didn't hear him. You were staring at the items you received. "Y/n? What'd you get... WOAH." Agil said. You had gotten a rare set of armor, a rare powerful axe, a bunch of col, and a highly ranked defensive shield. You sighed as you realized you don't use any if these things except the light armor and the col. "Here, you can have this stuff except the armor and col." You said cooly. You took the items you wanted and slid your finger to the right, showing the gift options infront of Agil. "W-what?! Are you sure?!" He said, shocked. His left eyebrow was raised and his finger shook, hovering over the accept button. "Yes, I'm sure...
You helped me complete the quest anyways." You said, scratching the back of your head and giving a small smile. Agil blushed and said, "Th-Thanks, y/n." You slapped his bald head and said "No problem." "H-HEY, DON'T DO THAT!" Agil's voice echoed through the field.
