10.THE ONLY HUMAN

Sarah's POV

      "Where are we going  Josh?, I am hungry," I blurted out aloud without considering their conversations about supernaturals.

Whatelse can I do, Who would have thought that my bed times stories said by my grandma would turn into reality, Part of me hesitate to believe things happened, but I saw those in my own eyes, that person wasn't seemed to be a human, he had fangs and his eyes turned  pitch black like a devil shown in movies.

Now, Josh is saying that he is one among them, a vampire. I couldn't accept it even though my mind knows the truth already. Ian doesn't seemed to be bothered by vampires, I could able to read it through his expression.

"Lets go to some restaurant and we can talk things later," Josh said. Ian  agreed with him.

"Why it doesn't bother you as much as it does to me, Ian?"

"What!?" he asked like nothing happened.

"The fact that the vampires are real and  Josh is one among them."

"Trust me, it bothers me, Sarah I just couldn't able to express it, I felt the same way as you do now, when i found out about vampires."

"Is that means you already know? why didn't you tell me about that?"

"Yeah, I already know about it, I couldn't bring myself to tell you about this because I thought it would be safe for you without knowing it."

"Nothing is better when it is hidden Ian, and it isn't right too, to do so."

"I am sorry, Sarah, I would never hide things from you again."

I smiled at him and held his hand in mine. I saw Josh was staring at us through the mirror but he didn't spoke a word.

Charleston Grill

"French fries and chocolate shakes for me," The waitress took my order, Both Josh and Ian looked at me confusingly.

"Guys, Don't look me like that, Just because I am hungry doesn't means I eat much," I scowled at them. You guys can order whatever you want.

"A chicken sandwich and chocolate shake for me," Ian ordered,

"I'll just have chocolate shake," Josh ordered just that, after taking nearly a minute, the waitress stared at him little weirdly.

"Your order will arrive within 15 minutes," The waitress said and left, leaving us to continue our chat.

"If you are a vampire, doesn't it means you drink blood, how can you drink a milkshake?" I asked Josh out of curiosity.

"Well, Its true, Miss Sarah, I should drink blood to survive but that doesn't means I cannot eat human food."

"Ohhh.... "thats what all managed to express, Josh is also a good friend of mine too. He would often addresses me as Miss Sarah. I couldn't see himself as a vampire like the one we saw in the mall.

"What its is like to be a vampire? Josh," Ian asked him, Though he looked like he already knows what Josh gonna say.

"It wasn't my choice to become a vampire, Lincoln tried to save my life but he couldn't able to save me without turning me. Being a vampire has its own merits like super strength, super speed and immediate healing but those powers comes with a high price. An isatiable hunger for blood, every minute feel like being hell, living with a fear of hurting the ones you love the most because of it."

"Is that means you cannot control when you see the blood!?" my voice was little dry and fearful.

"It was like it when I turned, but as I said I learned how to control it luckly with the help of Lincoln. You don't need to worry about it Miss Sarah, I would never do anything that harm you." he said with a weak smile.
