15. BLUE AND GOLD

One week later.

Ian's POV

"Ibera, Are we there yet!?" I asked Ibera for the third time. We have been walking through this never ending wood for almost 2 hours and still we didn't reach the location we supposed to reach.

"We are almost there, Ian. We would be reaching the location of pond by anytime now."

"I hope this would be the last time you saying this. You said this answer for third time in last 2 hours," I said. The walk and whole drive made me really tired. We are now almost 50 miles away from our town and in middle of some forest searching for some stone which Ibera seems to want so badly that she didn't even say the reason why she need it. All she said is that we have to get that stone and it will help us to improve our defense against those wolves till we are ready to take them down.

"Ian, I suppose this would the last time she's saying this, we are almost near the pond. I could hear the sound of the water flowing to the pond," Amy said while looking back at me and I nodded my head and said "its good then". Ibera is leading the way while Lin beside her and Sarah is walking in middle of Olivia and Ameila right behind them. I and Josh are walking behind them.

Oliv and Amy weren't that bad as I expected, In fact they both were very funny and easy to get along with. For the past one week they have been staying at Ibera's house and they were living up to their word and they have been always at Sarah's side whenever she is around, like her bodyguard. And they were really good at fighting too. In the training they both almost beat Lin while going on toe to toe with him but in the end like always, Lin managed to snap their necks and win. I got to know that Oliv was 23 years old when she turned into a vampire and she is 323 years old now. Amy was 22 years old when she was turned into vampire and she is 272 years old. They met eachother nearly century ago and since then they been together.

"Finally we are here," Lin said. I could see he was climbing on some rocks to reach the top. The rocks were little wet and slidy but we all managed to reach the top and I could see a big pond infront of us. We are now at the edge of these rocks if there is one wrong step we would all fall straight into the pond.

"I guess we should reach that plain side and drop our things and start look for the rock," Sarah said while pointing her finger to the area that was little down from here and we reached there in no time. I was so tried that I literally dropped my bags on the sand and sat comfortably with my hands around my knees. I started enjoying the pure air blowing into my face. For a moment I forgot everything and just enjoyed the view infront of me while others were unpacking their bags. Unlike other ponds I've seen this one is little different and the water is glowing blue even though the sky wasn't not yet dark Its just 4 p.m.

"Holy mother of god," Josh screamed and ran back to where I was sitting and started looking his foot. His feet looks like it was burnt with vervain but it started healing.

"What happened!?" Lin rushed to our side and others did the same.

"I think the water is vervain, it burnt my foot when I walked in," Josh said while examining his foot and now it was completely healed. Oliv took her bottle out of her bag and started walking towards the water and without her hand touching the water she collected some water in the bottle and came to us.

"I guess its not just vervain there must be chance that it must be someother thing too," she said.

"What do you mean its not just vervain? Don't say me that this pond is full of some acid that will burn anything that goes inside!!" I asked her. I took the bottle out of her hand and decided to test my theory. I spilled just a few drop of that water onto my palm and it didn't burn me and I showed it to everyone.
