20. NO HUMAN BLOOD

Olivia's POV

"What about cookies for us?" Josh asked Ibera.

"Make yourself at home, kitchen is to your left," Ibera said and left to see those wolves with Lin.

"I and Sarah are gonna get some walk," Ian said and left the house with Sarah leaving all three of us alone.

"Yeah sure, I am gonna make better cookies than yours," Josh yelled at Ibera but she disappeared into her room without replying back and somehow it irritated Josh, I could see that in his face.

I couldn't understand him, all these days he seemed to be a fun loving guy and not known to much of violence behavior but all of sudden today, he is picking up fight with Lin for no reason even though he was fully aware of Lin being an Original.

It felt like he was unleashing his hidden anger on Lin, I didn't know that he had anger issues because he didn't seems so to me. But what suprised me more is that he managed to keep up with Lin. "May be it is the power from the pendant."

"Do you know how to make cookies?" Amy asked.

"Yes, I do, its no big deal," he said, "Yet, if you both wanted to help, I wouldn't mind. Do you want to?" he asked pointing the question towards us.

"No," Amy and I both answered at same time.

"Okay, fine," he said and left to the kitchen.

"Do you wanna test how the pendant works?" Amy asked me.

"Yeah, I love to." I smiled at her.

"Josh, we'll be back in 10 minutes, make sure the cookies are ready when we are back," Amy yelled at the direction of kitchen.

"Where are you two going?" he asked us from the kitchen.

"It's our turn to test the pendant power," I yelled.

"Okay, fine," he replied back.

I turned to my side to look at Amy, she was already ready to bolt through doors. "Are we gonna race, honey?"     I asked her.

"Of course we are," she said with a smirk.

"You do know that I won the last race, right?" I said to her.

"Honey, you got lucky that day. If it isn't for that Old man's interference, I would have won that race."

"Okay, whatever, Let do it now, the one who circles the town and reach back here first through the door will win" I said reminding the rule.

"I know the rule... Lets start On the count of three," she said and we both started counting together.

"One.."

"Two.."

"Three.."

As soon as we said the word three, we both bolted out through the door like a lightning out of the storm sky and in no time we both reached the street, there weren't much people in the street only few were walking.

We don't need to worry about human seeing us, they can't see us when we move using vamp-speed, all they could feel is a heavy blow of wind on their face for a second when we cross them.

Amy and I were running at same speed, either of us wasn't gaining any edge over others. I could feel we are moving so quickly than we normally would. And within a minute we both were literally circled half of the town.

We memorized all the routes in this town while we were staying in Ibera house. That whole week without a day off we raced in the morning, and as far as the result go I won four and Amy won three out of seven races.
