Cheryl sat in her art class, dropping his pencil on her paper silently so it made faint dots. Her head in her hand and she sighed and people filled up the class. Suprisingly they were only....8 people in her class, and that was including her. She smiled a little as it was people who didnt really bother her, they seemed nice. Mrs Harper walked in and scanned the room then looked at what looked like the register. Shaking her head she walked around to the front of her desk.
"Just waiting for one or two more faces" She smiled clasping her hands toegther. "I uh, know some of your faces from last year..." She looked at a few people includung Cheryl. Smiling at each other Mrs Harper started taking again. Cheryl had always done art, since the first year of school and she'd always loved it. Scribbling lightly on her paper and listening to what the teach was saying, the teacher went silent for a moment.
Cheryl looked up to see another girl walk in the class. "Sorry im late" She quickly apologised. "No no, its fine...we're still waiting for a full class." She smiled and gestured her hand to an empty seat at the front. Mrs Harper's room was set waith all the desks sitting so it all joined and made one large square, and they had to sit on small metal stools. Cheryl sat up the back as always in art and everyone else was spread out down the front and in the middle.
"Oh nice of you to finally join us Mr Hemmings." Mrs Harper said. Cheryl shot her head straight up and saw Luke standing at the door. "Sorry im late!" He mumbled. "Go get a seat" Mrs Harper shook her head. Cheryl watched as Luke scanned the room and then he headed up towards her. There were a few stools empty on the other side of Cheryl and she watched as he sat down. Her stare was broke when Luke smirked at her. "What you looking at?" He asked.
Looking away Cheryl shook her head. "Dont know...whoever he is he's looking back" She quickly said. Luke began to laugh softly. Cheryl couldnt help but smile. "You dont look like an art person" Cheryl told him in a rude tone. "Yeah, well woodwork shop was full" He sat getting comfy as he could. "Oh, your friends take up the extra places?" Cheryl asked. "Yep, wasnt enough room!" Luke told her. He looked over to her and then down at her paper. "Nice drawings" He said. "Thanks" Cheryl mumbled. "Have you got a art kit?" She asked looking at an empty handed Luke.
He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Does it look like it?" He turned to her. "I'm only asking!" Cheryl looked at him. "Yeah well dont ask stupid questions, when you know!" Luke snapped a little. "Dont speak to me like that! i was only asking!" Cheryl snapped back at him. Luke widened his eyes at her. "Everything okay up there?" Mrs Harper asked. Cheryl dropped her gaze from Luke's stare and looked down at the teacher. "Yes, everything's fine" She told her. "OKay then, well listening up" The teacher smiled and continued talking.
Cheryl sat doodling away listening to the teacher again. Afer getting told what they're project would be, they started designing ideas. This years project: Things that make you unique. sounded pretty easy. It would be part of the end of the year exam but wasnt all of it. She started jotting down ideas for herself. She looked over to Luke and he was thinking with a blank piece of paper. He wrote down a few things then he turned to her. Cheryl quickly shot her head down. He tugged on her paper lightly and she looked up at him.
"Do we really need a kit?" He asked. "You can get one from the teacher" Cheryl told him. "Oh...great" He nodded. "But...." She began and he looked at her. "But?" He edged on. "There really crap!" Cheryl sighed. "Paints are all over the place, the pencils are broke..... the list could go on" She smiled sarcastically. "Sooo....." Luke looked at her. "Well i get new ones every year, so i would just get one myself" She told him. "Where abouts?" He asked. Cheryl was suprised. "Anywhere that sell art supplies."
Luke looked at her then leaned forward. "Anywhere you would recommend?" Cheryl looked at him a little pissed. "After talking to me like that?!" She growled a little. Luke's smirk dropped and he leaned back. "Fine! i dont need the help anyway!" he snapped. "Good! you do whatever then! " Cheryl spoke back to him. Cheryl looked over to his paper a few times during the lesson and noticed, that most of the things he wrote was about music. He didnt seem that type either.
