Cheryl got ready and headed out to her car. It was 11:45, and she started up her car, put her seatbelt on at drove out her drive. It was going to take her at least 20 minutes to get there, so wasnt that bad for time right? She drove to Starbucks and she got there around 12:10. As she got out her car, her phones buzzed and she looked to see a snapchat from Luke.
"Hurry up, ive started my coffee without you!"
It read and him drinking coffee. Laughing a little, she walked into the shop and scanned the place, empty since it was new years day, and she spotted Luke, in a booth near the back looking at his phone. She smiled and walked up to him. "Good afternoon Mr Hemmings" She joked as she sat down opposite him. His eyes lit up and ge grinned at her. "Hello" He spoke in a deep voice making Cheryl laugh silently. He slid over a tall cup of coffee with her name on it, with a heart beside it. She eyed it up then looked at him.
He bit his lip ring and chuckled. Then his smile vanished. "Chez...i wanna talk." He looked at her seriously. Cheryl sipped some coffee and looked at him. "Oh. Okay..." SHe slowly put the cup down from her face. "We're okay right? because of last night...." He started and Cheryl stopped him. "Of course we're fine" She nodded smiling at him and watched as he smiled again. "Awesome..." He nodded at her. Cheryl sat twirling her cup with her hand and looked up at him. "I heard...that someone got engaged at the party...dont you think thats a little weird for new years?" He asked Cheryl.
"Well it depends, i suppose because its a new year, its an engagement..." SHe nodded. "Oh." He sighed. "I also think Mikey and Kassie...got on good terms last night. They see good now." He told Cheryl. "She nodded and sipped some more coffee. "Yeah, i hope too...however we dont know whats going on behind closed doors...Kassie doesnt always tell us" She pointed out to him. "Neither does Mikey" Luke nodded.
"I think its....cool, to end up with someone on New Years....like that movie..." Luke told Cheryl. "What New Years Eve?" Cheryl asked smiling. He nodded and chuckled. "At the end....with the girl on stage." He told her and Cheryl laughed. "Yeah...i've watched too many movies to imagine that...kiss at midnight and meet my dream guy" She looked up at the ceiling then sighing. Then she raised an eyebrow and looked over at Luke. "Kissing you could be the awesome kiss." She smirked before drinking some more and leaving Luke going a little red.
He leaned forward and laughed. "Really? because i would say the midnight kiss would be the highlight of my night" He smirked. "Oh really?" She giggled and Luke nodded. Speaking of girlfriends....and boyfriends...." Cheryl started off then stopped. Luke looked up at her. "I think, its a good start...a new year y'know...like getting in a new relationship, or dating someone...especially for it being new" She sighed tapping her cup twice. Luke smiled at her and cleared his throat. Chez...that nod laugh night after midnight...what was that?" He asked biting his lip, looking a little anixous. "How about we go for a walk?" She smirked at him. "Sure..." He nodded. They both stood up and left the store and walked along the street.
They got to near the park, where frost lay on the grass and Cheryl sat down on a bench. "You didnt answer my question" Luke smirked at her. Cheryl sighed and held her cup in her two hands. "Well...what do you think i meant...? include what i just said in Starbucks." SHe raised an eyebrow. Luke shrugged sofotly, and looked at her a little weirdly. Laughing at him she sighed. "Gosh, Luke for liking me so much you dont know when i'm telling you something obvious!" She looked into his eyes. Soon his look softned on her and his eyes lit up before grinning like an idiot. "You mean...you wanna...i mean..." He cleared his throat and stuttered a little. Cheryl smiled and nodded before clearing her throat.
"Pretend we havent done this before" Cheryl giggled turning her head. She sat smiling looking into the park. Luke took her hand making her look back at him. He held it like before, and smiled at her. "Cheryl?" He asked. "Yess." She smirked. "Would you....like too, go out with me? on a date?" He asked. Cheryl smiled at him rolling at her lips. "Like...? i would love too" She spoke softly making Luke grin at her. "Love too?" He mocked. "MmmHmm!" Cheryl nodded. "Well then..." He got closer. "How about...would you love to...be....my...girfriend?" He asked getting a little high pitched. Cheryl sniggered and looked into his eyes. "Love...? I'd be honoured." She smiled sweetly at him and he nodded with a relieved look on his face.
Then he took her face and kissed her. Kissing him back, it felt right. She seemed happy, nothing was clouding her judgement anymore. It may have been freezing on that bench, and her ass getting numb but heck she was kissing Luke again....and he'd just asked her to date him. Everything felt awesome right there andthen for her. Pulling away Luke planted a kiss on her nose. His warm, softly lips smiled at her. "I really like you..." He whispered to her. "I really like you too..." She nodded at him and kissed hiim.
