"Night!" Luke spoke following Cheryl. "Later dude!" Mikey smiled at Luke. Luke closed the car door and they both waved as Kassie and Michael drove off. Cheryl turned to the dark house. "Nope, parents arent home!" She sighed putting her head down shaking it a little disappointed. "I'm sure, my mom will be home in the morning though" She tried to sound more positive. Luke bit his lip and looked at her. She laughed silently and walked in her gate and up her path. She turned the key in her door and walked into her hallway. Luke flicked the light on and smiled at her. "Thank you!" She nodded. "Your welcome!" He chuckled.
She walked into the living room sticking on a lamp, then headed into the kitchen. She took out two glasses and filled them with some soda. She smiled as she handed Luke a glass and headed back out into the livingroom. She switched the T.V. on and Family Guy came on. She smiled as she put down the remote and looked over at Luke. He was sipping some soda looking at the T.V. "I really enjoyed tonight. Thank you guys! and also a huge thank you for my tattoo!" She smiled looking at her new ink.
"Its cool, we didnt mind. we wanted too!" Luke smiled putting down his glass. "Yeah, pretty weird how a few months back it was totally different." She sighed. "Yeah, but thats all in the past." Luke told her. She nodded agreeing with him. "Was there....anything i said or did...that hurt you?" He asked looking at her. She thought for a moment, "Hmm..not really...just you pissed me off!" She laughed. He nodded agreeing. "Yeah, true." They sat for a moment until Cheryl sat on the sofa with her legs in a basket. "So i have something." Luke told her.
"What?" She made a face. "Just...a little something" He smiled. "What do you mean?!" She eyed him up and down frowning a little. He smirked at her. "Luke?!" She egged on. "Okay, i know that i got you that gift, and we got ya your tattoo...but...." He looked at her. "What"? She spoke loudly. "I wanted to get you this!" He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a flat box. She looked at it then back at him. "I know, i said i wouldnt get you anything else, however i got this before i said it!" He chuckled. She sat staring at him. "Please...take it." He pushed it to her.
Cheryl took the box from his hand and sighed. She cracked it opened and she first saw a infinity symbol, then when she opened the box fully it had a small disk with two hands making a promise. Her heart sank a little as she looked up at Luke, he was looking at her. With his sweet eyes waiting for her to do or say something. She took it from the box and it was on a short necklace. "I thought hey...after all the shit, we can move on and start a fresh" He smiled at her.
"Luke...this is...amazing" She noticed it had a sheet inside telling her what it was. "But where...." She started and Luke pulled his top down a little and pulled out a chain from underneath. It was the exact same, but was on a longer chain for a boy. Her heart jumped and she felt a little overwhelmed. "Its a promise, to stay friends...have no shit, drama....always having a good time" Luke went a little red and Cheryl smiled sweetly. "Luke this is amazing, you didnt have too" She told him. "I know....but i wanted too" He nodded. "So...will you accept it?" He half smiled.
Cheryl moved forward and hugged him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and burrowed her head slightly into his neck and nodded. "Thank you so much! i love it, your too sweet!" She smiled. She felt Luke hug her tight. "Your welcome..." He smiled.. They sat like that for a moment before Cheryl sat back breaking the hug. "You deserve it." He smiled stroking her cheek slightly. She blushed. "You, Luke Hemmings are one sweet guy" She told him grinning. "I told ya im a good guy" He nodded. "Course you are" She smiled. She handed Luke the necklace and turned pulling her hair up. He put it around her neck and fastened it.
She sat back, next to Luke and put her feet up on the table. She sank down so she was even shorter than Luke. She sat closer to him and Luke put his arm around her. Both watching the televison they both fell asleep.
