Chapter 36 – Bossy Boyfriends and Backwards Battles

                “No.”

                “Please.”

                “No.

                “Andy.”

                “Hunter.”

My boyfriend gave me an annoyed look, attempting to adjust the straps on the bullet proof vest, which was looking so obvious that I may as well have walked in there and started with ‘hey, all, just so you know, I’m wearing a bullet proof so if you want to kill me, take a head shot!’

“It’s obvious, I’m not putting it on,” I countered, pulling it up over my head. Hunter was having a hard time keeping his eyes on my vest rather than my bra clad chest.

“Besides, it itches,” I added. A smile threatened to twitch at Hunter’s lips but he shook his head.

“I don’t care if it takes a fucking bite out of your stomach, you’re wearing it,” he said, taking a step towards me. I grinned.

“If it did that, there wouldn’t be much point in wearing the damn thing, would there?” I asked with a wink. Hunter’s response was a bored expression and a dive for the vest that was so fast he would’ve given Sonic a run for his money.

“It’s too tight,” I whined. Hunter looked up at me and smirked, passing me one of his hoodys, which hung loose from my frame.

“What did the policeman say to his belly?” I asked. Hunter leaned back against the wall and sighed.

“I don’t know, Princess,” he droned.

“You’re under a vest!” I exclaimed, proud when he shook his head, chuckling.

“You’re an idiot,” he commented, grabbing me by the shoulders to march me into the front room. I went without a fight, knowing that regardless of what I did, I’d end up in the living room one way or another.
