People I Don't Know

Not that romantic

I went outside of the mansion, Colin stood there waiting for me and as I went close to the car, he opened the door for me like a perfect gentleman. I felt special at that moment, I stepped into the car and settled down. He started the car engine smiling at me and I smiled back. It was a twenty minutes ride and he stopped the car at a fancy coffee shop. We went inside and ordered a latte for both of us. We spent thirty minutes there, after seeing Colin being sweet and trying his best to treat me good, I started wondering. Does he like me? Is he expecting me to date? Or he's just having fun? I got lost in my thoughts then he held my hand and smiled at me. That smile made all my thoughts fade away, it was genuine. If he got real feelings for me, I need to settle down.

I'm trying to clear all my thoughts and suddenly I heard Colin asking me
"What's between you and Erin?" That question made me feel puzzled but there's nothing right now I guess.

"Nothing much, we are just friends," I said normally looking at my coffee.
"Oh! Okay," he said, "Yeh, we spent lots of time together in the mansion," I said without thinking about any consequences.

"Okay fine," he said and smiled at me.
It's been an hour and I desperately want to go home. Colin paid for our coffee, I felt bad and there I saw one of my classmates working in that coffee shop. She's working there as a part-time job, maybe I should start doing something. I don't want to depend on my dad for everything and even though my mom is really rich I can't depend on her.

We went back to the car, the drive back to the mansion almost made me sleepy and he stopped the car at the mansion gates. Then he grabbed my hand and he started looking into my eyes.

What? Is he expecting a kiss? But baby I'm not that romantic, I talked to myself. Then suddenly someone started horning their car and Colin got distracted. Then I stepped out of the car as Colin released my hand and looked at the other car. It was Erin and I can see his face through the front glass. He kept horning until Colin drive away with an arrogant face. I looked at him, he glanced at me and looked away. I rolled my eyes, then I started moving inside the mansion and he started horning again. I looked back turning my head at him, he stopped horning and looked away. Then again I turned my head and started moving this time I almost went close to the gates and he again started horning. I turned around and looked at him with frowned eyes. He's leaning back on his seat, he placed his left hand on his forehead and the other on the steering and his thumb on the horn. As I turned around he stopped horning, he was looking at me when I turned his side but then he turned his head away.

What on Earth he's trying to do? It was so irritating, the sound of his car horn making my head hurt, as I'm feeling sleepy I felt more uncomfortable. Then I tried to turn my body and then he suddenly started horning again but this time he locked his gaze on me. This guy is irritating me right now, I kept my face angered and hurried towards his car. He stopped horning but he's not looking at me.

"What's wrong??" I asked looking at his face, he kept his window glass slide down so I can see him. Without saying a thing he horned once.
"Are you mad?" I yelled with frustration. He said nothing and was horned again. This guy is testing my patience, I just wanted to slap on his arrogant face but I controlled myself and managed to ask
"What do you want me to do?" He said nothing, he leaned his body other side and opened his car door.
What?? he's expecting me to get in his car?? I'm so tired and said
"I'm feeling sleepy right now" looking at his face and expecting some concern. But he horned again, not even looking at me. I rolled my eyes, sniffed, walked around the car and stepped inside and locked the door.
As soon as I settled myself in the seat he started driving.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked him looking at his jaws as he kept them clutched like always but he said nothing. He stayed silent and I kept looking outside as I have never seen the city in the night lights, it looked amazing. They say Austin Texas is one of the best cities to live in and it is true.
