Shane!
He gave me the brightest smile ever. He looked like Geek God in his navy blue suit, eye feast of course.
I gave him a puzzled smile and the receptionist left me in his room.
"Come in beautiful." He said and smirked.
I walked into his room and without his permission, I sat down on the chair before his office table. He smiled at my actions making me frown.
"You?" I mumbled raising one of my eyebrows.
"Yeah! It's me." He said and his smile grew wider.
"Boss?" I ask him in a suspicious voice because I can't believe this.
"Yes I'm your boss. This is my dad's company." He cleared and still, a smile is playing on his lips.
My boss!
"I can't believe Mr Daniel send me here." I groaned making him laugh throwing his head back.
"My dad and uncle are friends. Just stop thinking too much and enjoy working here." He said.
"Umm.. what I am supposed to do?" I asked him.
"Nothing much! Just observe how a company works in close. I heard that you are interested in digital marketing, you can learn about it here watching a real company's statistics." He stated.
"That's it? Just observing?" I asked with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah! " He said and shrugged.
"Where is my cabin?" I asked him.
"You can sit here all day. I don't mind." He said and smiled mischievously.
"Really?" I asked him with a frown.
"Yeah!" He chuckled.
So many questions popping into my head, is this real?
"How long can I work here? Any bonds? Tell me details." I ask him.
"You can work here for a lifetime and I'm ready to pay." He said and grinned.
"No jokes please." I snapped.
"It's not a joke Neel, you can work here as long as you want. No bonds, it is a good opportunity for you." He said genuinely.
"Thank you but I'm still confused," I tell him.
"Just enjoy my company in my company." He said and winked.
This is so awkward dude. Every girl would die to have a boss like him, even I would feel the same but right now my head is occupied with Erin.
"I have to think about it," I mumbled looking away.
"What? This is a great opportunity for you Neel. Don't ruin it please." He said in a calming voice.
I looked at him again, trying to read his eyes. I don't want to complicate things in my life. If I am around Shane he will definitely mess me up. I believe this strongly.
"No." I snapped and stood on my feet. His face fell apart but I ignored him and turned to walk out.
"Neel please wait." Shane came and hold my hand.
"You can trust me. I know why you are hesitating and I can understand. I've changed, let me prove myself." He said looking into my eyes.
"Please trust me. I promise I will be a good guy." He begged and released his grip on my hand.
"Sorry for that." He apologized.
"Let me think," I said while rolling my eyes.
"No! Don't think too much. Just trust me." He said.
