Erin POV
Luis is going to stay at my place for today. I went down to get us few drinks before sleeping. As I walked upstairs I saw him talking on his phone. It must be Rachel, she always calls him before sleeping. I wish I can call Neel every day to say good night.
I waited for him to end his call, I went and sat on a chair on my balcony. After few minutes he came into the balcony and slumped on the chair opposite me.
We started drinking.
"Any updates?" I asked him.
"Nothing much! She said they went shopping." He said drinking his drink.
"Shopping?" I asked him with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah for tomorrow's party." He said and laughed lightly.
"Don't they have any clothes to wear?" I asked him joining his laugh.
"They always want to look new. Obsession!" He scoffed.
"Good for us," I said and winked.
"They never miss a chance to buy new clothes." He joked.
"Will see tomorrow," I said and smirked.
"Did you talked with Neel?" He asked looking at me.
"No... I mean yeah. But it didn't go the way I thought it would be." I tell him.
"You ruined it again." He gasped.
"No, I didn't. Maybe yeah." I stumbled.
"Why don't you just say that you came back for her?" He asked me with a low voice.
"I want to tell her but first I want to clear few things," I said looking away.
"What's that?" He snapped.
"About Shane?" I mumbled.
"They are just friends." He stated.
"Yeah, I know. But still, I need her to confirm that." I said looking back at him.
She already told me that there's nothing in between them. I know it, I trust her more than myself. But when I looked at Shane, it feels like he's still in love with her. The way he looks at her tells everything, I feel off guard.
"You wasted so much time idiot. Just say whatever you feel about her." He half yelled.
"Yeah, I will. I wish she hugged me tight when she saw me at Shane office. But she acted differently." I mumbled.
"Oh! Come on. She's surprised. Maybe she just stayed quiet because she doesn't know how you gonna react. What if you just push her away when she comes to hug you?" He said looking at me.
"I will never do that." I snapped at him.
"Yeah! But she doesn't know that. You have to say all those things to her." He yelled lightly making a point.
"I'm telling you, you should go and confess to her. Tell her you came back for her and you can't live without her." He said while looking at me.
"Explain how much you missed her all these days, how you used to ask me about her whereabouts every day. Promise her that you will never gonna leave her again. Build her trust." He explained.
"This sounds so filmy and dramatic." I groaned.
"Maybe but girls like it that way. They like filmy dialogues." He said and laughed lightly.
"I don't think my Neel needs that. She knows me well." I retorted.
"Oh is it soo? They may sound filmy but they are not lies right. You felt so.. so there's nothing wrong speaking them out." He assured me.
