Maddy's POV:

Today was a very special day for every glader that had once been in the glade with us. Most of us survived the maze, the scorch and the battle between WICKED and all of us immunes. Many of us had found death, if through the maze, the scorch or WICKED, doesn't matter anymore. We are different now than we had been while being in the maze and in some crazy way it's good. We've grown closer to one another and we know how to praise friendships, love and how good it is to still be alive after all we went through.

And for the one's that had died we were going to lit lanterns and send them flying into sky with a sweet note attached to the lantern. With a little bit of luck I had managed to rescue two of my best friend's throughout our journey. First the boy who had been my best friend since I came up in the box in the glade and the boy I had secretly feelings for. My Alby. I had managed to pull him away from the griver's arm and then I was able to heal Newt from turning into a crank with the help of my blood which turned out to be just as special as Thomas'.

Without those two I wouldn't have been the one who I am now. At this very right Moment I was getting ready for our small glader ritual which we did when we were still in the glade, but this time everyone who was at the save haven with us, was welcomed to celebrate with us. Just as I was to put on my short spring dress Brenda came bursting into my room, Newt Thomas and Minho hot on her heels, so I quickly pulled it down, that the boy's weren't able to see me half naked. I shot them a somewhat annoyed look but all they did was grinning at me and shrugging.

Minho was the first to talk. " We came to pick you up and obviously it was perfect timing." He wiggled his brows at me, which resulted in me throwing a pillow at him, catching him off guard and him landing on his ass, which in turn brought everyone else to laugh at him. Minho shut me a dark look but this time it was me who just grinned and shrugged. " What Minho meant, was that you look absolutely stunning." Brenda explained and Newt and Thomas could do nothing but to agree with Brenda for they were pratically staring at me, almsot swooning, which made me giggle.

I shot Brenda a look and she seemed to catch on, on what I was trying to tell her, for she grabbed Thomas by the arm and whispered something into his ear, prompting him to pull Newt and Minho out of the room for which I was thankful. " Do you think Alby will like it?" I asked her and she looked me up and down with a bright smile on her face. " Of course Maddy. He is going to absolutely love it." She said giggling and taking my hands in hers, giving them a soft squeeze which brought me to smile as well. " Thank you for everything Brenda."

" It is no problem Maddy. Everybody will think you upsolutely stunning, because that's what you are." I smiled brightly and said, now being excited as well, full of joy. " Well let's go Bren." " Let's go Mads. Show those shanks what you've got." I laughed slightly and shook my head and at this moment my brother Newt and Minho came back inside. " Are you two ready?" Thomas asked, sounding quite annoyed, which resulted in Brenda and I rolling our eyes at my brother's antics.

Brenda and I just nodded and Newt held his hand out to me which I took, while sending him a dazzling smile which he returned before he walked me out and soon we were followed by Thomas and Minho having both arms intertwined with Brenda's which made me giggle and Brenda just send me a glare. I knew that she had feelings for my brother and I knew that he felt something for her as well, just not quite sure what he feels. Will have to have a talk with my dear brother afterwards.
